It's gonna be a shame that this Eric Dixon season is likely to be wasted from a team success standpoint

I am amazed at some of the shots that Telfort gets off. This guy looks completely bottled up, and it seems like he leans a couple of inches just out of reach of the defender's high hand and squeezes off a shot that drops.

That Austin Peay loss really hurts Butler.

This Villanova team is atrocious to watch. They honestly look like they’re just playing pick up. And bad shot selection, not being coached type of pickup. Ugly.

Villanova 16-0 run in around 4 minutes to go up 3 lmaoooo

1 minute to go!

Yup. That loss is a big fat pimple on their resume. Butler defeated Miss State, a team that crushed Memphis in Memphis.

Butler has hit a rut offensively while Nova is on a heater with a 18-0 run.

Kyle Neptune intentionally fouled up 6 with 20 seconds left (stupid), but it worked as Telfort missed both

Nova ends the game on a 22-1 run to take it. WOW

.-.
I turned from the game when Butler was up dbl digits and figured the game was done

Obviously I jinxed them positively - I turned it off.

Conversely UNC did the total opposite at the same time: came back to go up on Ville then suddenly lost by 13.

Some poorly coached teams out there…

Nova is a talented team, and I actually think Neptune knows what he is doing in terms of X's and O's. Villanova basically runs the same offense they ran under Wright, and the team is physical and relatively fundamentally sound on both sides. Neptune's problem is that he is a choker, and that doesn't get better with time. Neptune reminds me a lot of Lappas in this way. Both of them got the job because they were the favorite of the previous legend, but neither was cut out to be a big time head coach.

This team is much different than last year. This Nova is among the most efficient offenses and not at all sound on defense,

Dixon is an absolute nightmare matchup for anyone right now. He just abused Butler down the stretch yesterday. But yeah, their guards especially are pretty awful defensively and I just have no faith in Neptune to fix that on the fly.

Imagine if Nova somehow sneaks in to the NCAA tournament and forced the AD to keep Neptune for another year lmao.

Neptune is a great guy. That got him a 3rd year. I didn’t like it but I get it. Your sequence is my fear.

I totally concur regarding Telfort. I'm not saying he's the greatest player ever, but there are many times where he does some sort of fadeaway twisting off-balance shot that magically goes in and you're like... wtf did that guy just do? Unfortunately, the way the team itself plays, he's probably forced to do those ill-advised shots too much to try to make something happen. But you can see how they got some of their big wins, that's for sure.

Word is McDermott didn't think Zugic would be cleared and he wasn't really playing with the team and is out of shape but he has to play over Mason Miller, dude is unplayable.

My post was not completely complimentary. I think Telfort is the slowest, non-center leading scorer in the Big East. He looks like he has stickum on his feet, which makes his scoring even more surprising.

GTown is going to be tough in DC

Same old Cooley: Fish for fouls on offense, clutch and grab on defense. There is not a coach in the Big East that is more dependent on friendly officiating than Ed Cooley.

With that being said, still a nice win for Georgetown over Xavier without Epps for most of the game, out with injury.

Marquette is getting open 3s, they just can't knock them down.

I can’t be the only one that thinks it’s kind of hilarious that Georgetown is actually putting together a strong season while Providence is crashing into the depths of hell?

Marquette will be our kryptonite this year.

St. John’s and Creighton probably a split.
