Cintas Center crowd was quite the whole 2nd half and with 3 minutes left, well wow, almost all the seats in the camera shots are empty.

St. John's put the clamps on Xavier's offense and crushed them on the offensive glass.

To be fair to X, the lost their starting center who would have helped with their defense.
St. John’s is winning without making 3’s, I mean ANY 3’s.

They will be a challenge for us. They have the same “go right at you” approach that PC had … but more talent and better attacking the glass.

Xavier couldn't make an open 3 or even a midrange shot to save their lives and got out-hustled on the defensive boards. And although to a point they played good defense, they really didn't because they didn't close out possessions. Really disappointing effort by the Musketeers- at home no less. They did well when they clogged the paint and forced St. John's to shoot from outside but they were unable to sustain it. At some point you have to make shots. Conwell and Hunter were vitual no-shows.

And they have the glass.

Ross finish should have been an and-1, Georgetown defender grabbed his back and pulled him down to brace his fall, how do refs miss something that blatant

I yelled "where's the foul?!" on that play as well.

Apparently cooley does not suck like many bone yarders believe
never thought he sucked, I just thought he was a disingenuous fake ass that taught his PC players to run to the paint and fall over and put to get foul calls.

The staff needs to make our guys watch the tape of this game and show them they need to play with Marquette's intensity in the 2nd half.

It’s really cool to see Pitino and Cooley seemingly start to wake up these sleeping giants in the conference.

This is the start, they’ll need to recruit real HS talent to fully be back like Hurley did. The transfers they have are good for now to have some in season success.

Hoyas ran out of gas late in this one but without Epps it's difficult for them to maintain ball control. You can't win many games vs. Marquette with 19 turnovers.

That game was a tossup with like a minute left and you guys playing only 7 guys on the road against Marquette. You guys are good, Sorber is such a stud.

I'm not a Cooley fan but the guy can coach.

Xavier has been decimated by injuries the last two years.
He’s had a full recruiting year to recruit around that. Relying on 2 guys who haven’t been healthy since he’s been there was quite the decision

Tonight cemented in my mind that St. John’s will be the 3rd team from the league in. It also cemented that Xavier has to play catch up from too far back to get an at-large at 9-7 (1-4). There is a non-zero chance St. John’s wins their next six.

The three teams to watch are Georgetown, Villanova, and Creighton. From now on, I would root for those three to win (except when playing UConn of course) to get the maximum number of bids.

He did and his starting center went down for the entire season.

He made the Sweet 16 in his first season there. He is a really good coach.

Which was an underachievement for that team. I think his best days are behind him. Last year was understandable. This year is completely on him imo.

Maybe Miller has lost his fastball, maybe he hasn't. There are a lot of variables hitting college sports right now, and it is hard to isolate any of them. The season the SEC is having is scary, and the fact that the Big 10 has pulled away from the Big 12 into a clear second place among conferences is also disturbing. While it is fun to point and laugh at the ACC, it is not like those schools are not trying within the resources they have, they are just losing, badly.

I watched the GT V Marq game and I think I'm more worried about playing GT right now - they are BIG. Not a Cooley fan but I would have loved to see them pull of the win. Both teams defend hard.

Are we sure about your big 10 point? I think top to bottom Big 12 is still stronger than the big 10... cant wait to see them poop their pants in the first round like every year

RPI and KenPom have Big 10 meaningfully ahead of the Big 12, but Torvik has the Big 12 ahead of the Big 10.

nova best team in the church league, told yall a month ago but no one wants to listen
