That changed quickly
Is Marquette better, the same or worse than last year?Marquette will be our kryptonite this year.
St. John’s and Creighton probably a split.

just from the eye test, I would say Marquette is not as good as they were last year, but UConn is a lot worse than last year. That's not a dunk on our UConn team this year. Our UConn team last year and the year before (after the January swoon) were really damn good and dominant. I think for UConn to advance this year, we will want the best possible match ups and want to avoid teams that could be bad for them. The last 2 years I didn't worry about any team in the field that was a bad match up for them because I didn't think there was a team that was a bad match up for them.Is Marquette better, the same or worse than last year?
With that being said, still a nice win for Georgetown over Xavier without Epps for most of the game, out with injury.

Kam Jones can carry this team far with the right matchups. Kemba and Bazz did it.Worse. Shaka has a good system, and his players have been at Marquette a long time and buy into it, but this team is not talented enough for a deep March run.
Better, and we match up awful on both sides of the ball.Is Marquette better, the same or worse than last year?
They are 1-21 from 3St Johns ceiling is capped with their lack of 3pt shooting
It's really inexplicable. He finished the Butler game strong, but I think he is still adjusting to his role. He has not made the big positive impact for St. John's.. yet. He has been underwhelming.Kadary Richmond has turned into young Andre Drummond at the FT line this season. Shot 81% from the line last season, now down to 46%.
Pretty sure Nova has an assistant coach whose entire job is to shine a big green light at Dixon all game long…Wooga Poplar’s emergence has drastically improved the vibe, for now. They are still not trustworthy. . I know UConn’s defense is bad -And you guys have gone off on that. But, I think Nova’s defense is more consistently ineffective. And consistency mattersNova 77, Depaul 38 with 9 min to go.
Nova 15/25 from deep.
Now THAT'S the ol' Depaul we know and love.
big blow for Marquette with Kam Jones already carrying a big load and playing heavy minutes. they were expecting Sean Jones back at some point this season from last year's ACL tear, they missed him last year when Kolek got hurt and K. Jones had to play PG and score alot too.

he doesn't which I was don't get fans and even media like Dauster dumping on him when it appears that he came back too early in his recovery.I remember seeing Sean Jones speed dribbling for what was about to be a breakaway dunk and then him collapsing to the floor without any contact. Damn. I knew immediately it was an ACL. His injury occurred a few games into the BE regular season just like Hopkins' injury. Hopkins doesn't look fully recovered.
