Watching this game and all the other ‘nova games I’ve seen this season confirms one thing to me… the impact that timely, pinpoint passing has on offensive effectiveness. Aside from their roster’s three-point shooting prowess, they just get guys the ball in the right place at the right time. This is a really smart team offensively.

Bingo. That and guarding their guys, few mistakes just good fundamental basketball. I doubt we will be lucky enough to watch one of our next 2 be this easy....at all.

But FIOS has it in 4K, so I'll watch. Hopefully some of our FS1 games are in 4k in the future.
I've noticed the 4K quality this year is way better than last year. Last year, I avoided 4K as everything had a bit of a grayscale tint, but this year, the color seems a lot more accurate.

Butler is yet another example of why you don't hire someone to be a head coach simply because they are an alumni of your school.

That’s called coaching

That’s called coaching
It’s called in-game execution. I’m not saying they are mutually exclusive, but one would be completely disingenuous to say that Villanova’s on-court performance is all about coaching.

They are in the right places at the right times. You said it yourself. Why do you think that is???

Watching this Georgetown - St. John’s game. Georgetown looks inept. If we don’t absolutely destroy this Hoya squad…

Wednesday 1/19/22

St. John's @ Creighton, 7:00, FS1 - Brandon Gaudin, Nick Bahe
Line: Creighton -4/149.5

Marquette @ 11 Villanova, 8:00, CBSSN - Andrew Catalon, Jim Spanarkel & Ashley Ross
Line: Villanova -12.5/139.5

20 Xavier @ DePaul, 9:00, FS1 - Jeff Levering, Stephen Bardo
Line: Xavier -7/150.5

I know every team has an off night but Creighton is just pounding a St. John's team by 30 that nearly beat us in Gampel a week ago.

This is one of those games that the coach probably wishes he could spread the wealth a little in terms of shooting. Creighton is wasting a 56% night from 3 on St. Johns. Creighton is probably going to be right on the bubble in March, and that home loss to ASU is going to look like a big fat zit in the middle of its forehead to the Selection Committee.

How is Paul Scruggs still on Xavier?
What's worse is that I thought Freemantle was black; I had never seen him play because he was always injured.

You missed the UConn game against Xavier last year? He smoked us for 30 points and 15 rebounds.
Yea. What's weird is I know exactly who Scruggs is but that's probably because he's 30.

Marquette win is looking very good. Playing Villanova right down to the wire. Nice win Marquette. WOW!

The math is looking really good for Marquette all of a sudden. Because they actually had an OOC schedule, they only need to get 18 wins in the regular season to get into the field. 5 more to go.
