Is the first game of the tournament the toughest game in someways? In 99 we beat Seton Hall by 1, I remember we struggled against a below .500 nova team in 02.

As a top seed its your first game having all the accolades and time off, and the team your playing is coming off a win, and they have nothing to lose changing up their game plan.

They looked terrified to shoot anything outside of 3 feet the last 8 minutes

I’d normally say yes but this is Providence. They win all their games by 1-2 points.
 
Definitely looked like Horchlar fouled the Butler kid on that block by Minaya.
 
Providence is a weird team for the tournament. They're great at winning close games which is what you want in the tournament but they aren't all that good so they'll be in a dogfight with a 13 or 14 seed. They could easily lose first round or they could somehow make a run to the elite 8.

Except Butler is a terrible team. Beating these awful teams by 1-2 points consistently isn't impressive.
