Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but I thought Chris Jones said Daniello was headed for a team out in Wisconsin before the injury occurred.
You are probably right. I was just guessing on the NE collegiate league, for Danello, as many UConn players, not ready for the Cape league go there.
There is also the Atlantic league (NY & NJ) where a few UConn players go. Also that league in the midwest, which you refer to. Last year Marzi & Verdi played for a team in Wisc.

Top three seeds in the @BigEastConf Baseball Championship have either been eliminated or have one loss. USF vs Connecticut up next on ESPN3.

2045 first pitch... A win tonight would be huge.

The game tonight is big. UConn doesn't have really deep pitching depth especially with the starters. A win tonight means no game tomorrow, meaning one less game they need to find a starting pitcher for.

Why do I feel like I am watching the team from the regular season again tonight and not the team that we saw play last night. And what I am meaning by that is last night they were very patience at the plate, made the other pitchers throw a lot of pitches and now tonight swinging very early and not making the pitcher work.

Well I guess I spoke up right at the right time. We show some patience in the bottom of the 5th, get 2 walks and now the bats have come alive. 5 runs in and a man on third with 2 outs. It's a ball game. 7-5

What is Penders thinking there? Why did he send McDowell, wasn't even close at home. Don't care that there were 2 outs, top of the order was coming up.

According to the WHUS play by play guy he ran through a stop sign by Penders.

Back to the same old BS in the 7th. Top of the order and the usual suspects Verdi, Ferriter and Mazzilli and fly out on first pitches. A freaking 3 pitch inning. Are you kidding me. When will this team get it through their heads that they score runs when they are patient and take pitches. That is just freaking ridiculous and inexcusable. The thing is only one of the pitches was a strike.

So they tie it at 7 on a sac fly, now two outs man on 2nd. But I just saw what might be the dumbest baseball play in my life.

UConn should have had bases loaded no outs as USF screwed up a throw to 1st on a bunt. But the runner who went first to second inexplicably gets caught well off the bag and gets tagged out when the USF first baseman throws to second to tag him out.

WTF????

In essense it should be 2nd and 3rd one out, 7-7...

Yavarone K's with man on second and two outs.

Go to the 9th 7-7

We tie the game, but what in the world is Melley thinking. He had a runner in front of him so how do you get caught off second. Should of been loaded with no outs.
