@UCMB88 did you hear about this prior to the Zanetto podcast?
Yes, as noted, I posted on Aug 14 and the Zanetto podcast was on Aug 19. My source was my son's friend who has a close connection with the WBB program and also with student government. He's a pretty quiet kid, so when I heard this I figured there might be some legs to it, but like everyone else I was highly skeptical. I will say this, if my source said this on 8/14 and it took 5 days for Zaretto to bring it up, then DB and company did a good job keeping a tight lid on things.

Five months give or take a week or two, but believe me I'm always watching.

Klatt believes the Big 12 is the deepest football conference and may only get 1 team in the playoffs, but let's say 2. If that's the case, what difference does it make where UConn stands today? We hired Jim Mora as our Football Coach! We will certainly compete. Unless the conference is hoping for an FSU or Clemson to come in and grab the playoff spots. I get that the conference could make more money in 2031 if it landed 2 premiere football programs but that is highly unlikely.

As I said in one of the threads, this is part of the appeal. No real dominant teams, but a lot of good, competitive teams and good games.
