I gave a kid a much better grade than most students on a class project. His mom asked me why. "Because I know HE did it." When I asked other students how they made their project, I'd often get "I'll have to ask my mom/dad."

The only exception I can think of is if the OP ran their writing through the ChatGPT prompt in order to adjust the wording. In cases like that, future posters should maybe ensure that their writing voice isn’t totally lost in the process.
I try to prompt it to change as little as possible, but do ask it to check Grammar, spelling and if I am being repetitive for longer writings. I also use grammarly. I think it can be useful with a proper mindset.

If the G 5 decides to have their own playoff for financial reasons, where do we fit in? Would we have to join a conference to get an invite?

I've been saying it for a long time. If the Big 12 and ACC can get the group of five to create their own playoff, they could tell the B1G and SEC to screw themselves and not schedule any games with them.

Build a Chinese wall and force them to play on their terms.

People don't understand power

Isn't that what people have accused the B1G and SEC of wanting? A P2 that separates from everyone else?

They’d just steal 6 or so schools from the ACC and B12 and break up into divisions and play an NFL style schedule, which is what will probably happen long term anyway. Forty or so schools and then everyone else in a lower division.

It is, but right now the B1G and SEC aren't playing fair because they believe that they hold the cards.

What I'm suggesting is that if the Big 12 was smart, they should work with all of the conferences except the big two and force the big two into a more fair environment.

The BiG and SEC need the group of 5.

Because it's boring. Yes they can play amongst themselves, but is that the spirit of college football?

The original spirit of college sports is long since gone from Division 1; and probably everywhere above D3.

You're right, but I still think my suggestion would benefit all non SEC and B1G conference.

Those 2 have ruined college sports
Watching the CFP games tonight JMU and Tulane are just so over matched. I like to see the underdogs compete but these teams do not have a chance.

Their performance, though underwhelming, doesn't mean they don't deserve a shot.

They played by the rules. Don't buy the narrative that they shouldn't have been allowed to complete. That's exactly what they B1G and SEC want people to agree with so they can get more of their teams in

Right now college football isn't a fair system. It won't be fair anytime soon, but we shouldn't expand the CFP to appease the bigger conference, we should stand by the existing rules and continue to allow the group of 5 access to CFP bowl games.

I hate it, it sucks for competition but you have to give all conference a shot.

I remember when that little team Boise State embarrassed Oklahoma in the Fiesta bowl. That's what it's all about,

I mean yeah when the system of NIL and penalty-free transferring is completely stacked against them, as is the coaching carousel whenever they have one good year, it's IMPOSSIBLE to build the stability needed for success. Especially when one of the INSANELY MANY apparent requirements for consideration for a G5 if it were not for autobids is multiple perfect seasons in a row.

Basically that's what they want the CFP to be, so let them have it
If the SEC and B1G wanted to be cut throat they could just decide to only play each other in all sports, including having their own championship tournaments for all sports. Basically cut everyone else out except for the SEC and B1G. It would be an interesting to see how things would shake out it that were to occur.

The idea that the SEC and Big Ten should wall themselves off sounds interesting, but it confuses what actually makes college football valuable in the first place.

This type of exclusion shrinks the product. Rivalries, different styles of play and cross conference matchups are differentiators in college football.

A B1G vs SEC only conference would become repetitive and boring and I think lead to fan fatigue.

They would in effect cannibalize their own conference . What feels top tier would eventually turn into the same brands playing each other every year. Basically they would be saturating their product

Boring!

The appeal of college football is underdogs, regional pride, unpredictable runs, and the outsider crashing the party. College football is special because every season leaves room for chaos.
