So we get the worst possible scenario. 2OT and Creighton still wins. I really hate that I have to go back to the office again. Going to be exhausted tomorrow

Really I think this was best case scenario: We need to jump 3 or 4 teams to get a 7 seed so we need a couple more quality wins. That means Nova>Creighton>SJU and now at least Creighton will be gassed. Beating Depaul wouldn’t have helped our resume at all.

Getting a tired Creighton not a bad thing. Getting a potential easy pass into the final could have been fun too. Any way you cut it beating StJ in the finals is only thing moving needle anyway.

The best thing that could happen to us (after us beating Nova of course) is Creighton coming back against DePaul and winning in 2OT. Creighton would be tired and if we beat them it's another high quality win. Beating DePaul would do nothing for our NCAA Tournament seeding.

Gus Johnson is horrible. He thinks more about how something sounds coming out of his mouth than he does about what he is actually saying. Hopefully someone reminds him that these here are the semifinals. Jackson is ok actually better than ok but Gus is just horrible. I usually have the sound off during the UConn games so I miss a lot of his nonsense.

As much as it pains me I’m rooting for St. John’s. If we can win tonight a win against St. John’s tomorrow will carry much more weight with the selection committee. Plus I want payback for the 2 losses to them.

The thing that is gonna bite Sju in the ass though is their ft shooting. People keep talking about the 3pt shooting but good teams can make it far without it. Missing ft means you aren’t extending leads or worse when you’re down not cutting into them with the clock not moving.

This he is like th UConn-St John's game at Gampel. UConn/Marquette start the game hot and are up 14/15 pts only for St. John's to comeback and take the lead.

St. John's is a terrific team. With that being said, they get away with a lot of fouls that are called against other teams. Lots of bumps going to the basket, bodying guys up, etc. I am Shaka, lots of fouls not getting called. It will be interesting how they are officiated in the Tournament and if it becomes like Pittsburgh used to be--they get away with that play in the Big East but called for tons of fouls in the Tournament.

We don’t seem to get away with those fouls in our games. Marquette has to quit turning it over.
