After the summer Kia Nurse had it's not a stretch to say that both she and Jefferson will make first team AA.

I know they are just highlights, but looking at the video clips of Moriah makes me think she will score at will and be a (nearly) unanimous All-American. She's been awe-inspiring already; she'll be absolutely jaw-dropping this year.

Baylor fans got their first look at Alexis Jones last night and the word that comes to mind is "WOW!" She is an electrifying player. She is sooooo fast and showed no signs of her injury. She is the complete package with three point range, a mid-range jumper, can get to the basket and makes passes that you rarely see in the women's game. Johnson and Jones both had 8 assists.

Baylor has three legitimate threats from three point range this year: Jones, Prince and Wallace went a combined 8-14 from behind the arc last night.

West Point was lucky family was military; she could've stayed out west and played for a Pac 12 school easily.

After the beating UConn gave Ohio St. and the numbers posted by both team's guards at Ohio St., how can anyone say Mitchell and Alston? Stats: Mitchell / Alston - 5/17, 15 pts., 0/6 3s, 5/7 FTs, 8 Rebs. 9 TOs, 1 steal Mo / Kia 14/21, 37 pts. 3/7 3s, 6/9 FTs, 6 Rebs., 8 TOs, 2 steals. Not even close. Yes, Mitchell and Alston were off. Much of that was due to UConn's D.

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough 19.3 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 3.3 asp, 3.0 spg, 2.3 bpg

Brene Moseley 16.7 ppg, 9.6 apg (and a 9/1 assist to turnover ratio)

Maryland will be tested in their next 4 games though (Old Dominion, SDSU - gave Notre Dame a good game, Pittsburgh - undefeated, and Syracuse - who almost beat Tennessee).

For the record the UConn/OSU game pretty much decided. who had the best backcourt in the NCAA. Jones did look pretty good for Baylor last night though.
