OT: Best place to get a Gyro?

I had a gyro from Sam's Gyro in West Hartford Center a few weeks ago and it was exceptional. Mostly a "to go" place as they really don't have a place to sit inside. I sat outside at 1 of the small tables they had. The weather was excellent and the whole experience was very enjoyable.

They have plenty of tables inside, unless they were getting ready for a party, which happens almost every weekend. Good food, grreat people.

Layla's in Fairfield. Think there's one in Stratfield too. Get the shawafel. Shawarma + falafel.

Stratfield is Fairfield. There is at least one more in WPT. Very good.
Lucky’s Souvlakis in Fira, Santorini, Greece. If you want the best and are willing to travel. Planning lunch there in 2021.

It cracks me up seeing you planning a lunch for 2021. Gonna be hard to live up to that!

Were there in 2001. Promised my son we would go back when he graduates from college. Pressure is on him.

This. I know the owners, good guys. Really high quality food, just the portion is a bit smaller.. Would recommend though.

Some of the friendliest guys you could meet. Every single time. Incredible hospitality there

Just had Yogis chicken gyro in Fira, Greece I give it a 8.9/10. Still not as good as the 9.6/10 chicken gyro from Kargas in Naoussa, Greece from a few days ago
