OT: Best Pizza in CT

This thread is so old the OP hasn't been seen in 2 years. Hope it was not death by pizza, but for the OP I guess the Nexus 6 models really did have a 4 year lifespan.

Keep the thread! I like to keep track of the ever changing apizza trends in CT... and I absolutely make a point to check it right before my every trip back to New Haven so I can see if there new places worth trying.

Its actually pretty good stuff. Camille's is great and pizza lovers should try it. Pepe's is meh, times have changed. Of course, if you participate in the thread just to complain, insult and be a whiny old turd, you might not think the info is worth while. If you are debating heading to one of these establishments, it may be of interest.

I've read about a million different things you eat that I don't give a damn about. I never took the time to tell you.
Don't take it personal. The mindless dreck you posted is on par with everyone else's mindless dreck in this thread. That includes my own mindless dreck.

I think it's a fair and honest question to be asked. How many times can we read Sally's/Pepe's is overrated? And why shouldn't it be on the FOOD board?

Just click the ignore thread button. I thought about moving it to the food and travel board, but it's kind of tradition being stuck here, especially during the off-season.

And when someone searches for "best pizza in Connecticut the boneyard is often on the first page of results.

Camille's is the closest thing to good pizza near campus. Everything else is a disaster

This thread is not about food. It is an illustration thread. And what is it illustrating…..people who post here basically will argue about anything. Actually this should be required reading for every new member before they can post. It will properly prepare them on what to expect once they jump in and start posting their opinions.

In on this early. I think this thread could go on for years…😁

Sally's is overrated unless you get it when it's not. And sometimes the non-New Haven spots are awful. And sometimes they're very good.

Does anyone know of a good pizza place in Connecticut?

Connecticut has a bunch of Greek Style pizzas which are great.

Light, fluffy crust, tangy sauce and good cheese combo on top.

Is Connecticut pizza actually good? I know you guys are proud and grew up on it, but doesn’t seem that great. Thin and burnt is not my idea of delicious pizza.

Also, that thread was a huge waste of space, so I’m very glad it was re-ignited.

Flame away!!

Yes, then Jersey, then floppy jiloppi NY slices and a distant distant fourth is the tomato soup in a bread bowl that hails from the midwest. Nvm.. put Detroit above Chicago.

Sometimes it's overrated and sometimes it's the best in the world. Unless you go to Sally's on a bad day. But the West Hartford Pepe's is trash.

Nothing beats “beach” pizza.

What exactly is Utica pizza? I had heard there were some decent places there. My son went to college near Utica and he spent 4 years trying to find them. He couldn't find anything better than just O.K. And even the O.K. places were few and far between.
