Maybe it's a Vin Diesel thing. Both of the xXx movies he's in can be described as bad movies, they're cheesy, but entertaining. And then there's the Fast and Furious franchise.

Papparazzi. Saw it in a theatre, haven't seen it on air in ages, but it's pretty awful all around yet quite satisfying. Have had a thing for Robin Tunney since.

I don't know if I would put it in the best bad movie thread, or just plain worst movie thread, but Tunney appears in the unintentionally hilarious (if you know anything about mountain/rock climbing) "Vertical Limit." Cut the rope, any good climber would. A few of my buddies and I were laughing hysterically in the theater during the film and people around us were confused, they didn't realize it was so comedic.

Just watched "Big Game". Never heard of it. Apparently the most expensive Finnish film ever made. Stars Samuel L. ("I never turn down a payday") Jackson as a President who is apparently weak on a whole lot of issues. So some rich Arab shoots down AF1 and all 4 of its escorts over Finland. Fortunately, Jackson's capsule is found by a Finnish boy sent into the woods on his 13th birthday to bag a deer to prove his manhood. Hilarity ensues.

I watched the whole thing. It's bad and cheesy in an original Red Dawn way. And Jackson gets his butt kicked throughout, which was fun.

In the Army Now was on late last night, I have no idea why I watched most of it, but that and most Pauly Shore films definitely belong in this thread (Son-In-Law, Encino Man, Jury Duty, etc.). Maybe none more than Bio-Dome though, man is that movie dumb.

Saw one this morning that belongs here.

Battle Los Angeles.

Good entertaining action/war movie....for all its flaws.

Better Off Dead.
Better Off Dead was genius. The memorable quotes alone...

"Go that way...fast. If something gets in your way...turn!"

"I've been going to this high school for seven and a half years, I'm no dummy. I know high school girls."

"Now that's a real shame, people throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that."

"I figured if we had nothing in common he would get bored, but instead he uses it as an excuse to put his testicles all over me!"

It should be posted on the great comedies thread.

Pompeii is ridiculous, but watchable.

Sucker Punch, also starring Emily Browning, is completely ridiculous, borderline offensive with teenagers in lingerie fighting WWI German zombies, and somehow not as awful as it could have been. That movie also wins the all time award for Best Trailer Disguising a Bad Movie.

To piggyback off of Nelson’s suggestion of Pompeii, you can pretty much throw in any disaster movie in his thread. Volcano, Dante’s Peak, Pompeii, Joe vs. the Volcano, San Andreas, Deep Impact, Armageddon, 2012, Geostorm, The Core, Into the Storm, Poseidon, and any others you can think of. Cheap thrills, if even that.

You're calling "Joe Vs. the Volcano" a disaster flick?

Everybody knows it was an ad for luggage.

Well, no, not really. I know it was just a farce, just threw it in there when thinking of volcano movies.

A bad movie that is kinda fun to watch? Like a guilty pleasure.

There are some John Candy movies that could fall under that umbrella.

Draft Day.

A movie about the NFL draft with Costner as GM and Dennis Leary as coach? Sounds like a SNL skit. Turns out...good movie.

That movie has some major plot and dialogue issues, but holds it together just enough to be watchable.

The whole bit about the QB's birthday party was really stupid.

How about "Never Back Down," I think that might fit. A bit of an update/repackaging of Karate Kid, or Fight Club for rich suburban high schoolers in Florida. Or something like that. Cheesy, good fight scenes, fairly entertaining. I think the lead disappeared off the face of the earth after this movie, but it featured several young actors that have been working steadily since and if not exactly famous are at least recognizable--Amber Heard, Cam Gigandet and Evan Peters. Plus Djimon Hounsou, who all by himself makes this film better than it should've been.

Got another one. "Premium Rush." Joseph Gordon-Levitt vs. Michael Shannon, total cheese fest, but again better than it should've been (largely because of those two). A gung ho bike messenger in NYC constantly in death defying chase scenes weaving in and out of traffic while matching wits w/ a corrupt cop.

As was the idea on the morning of draft day a GM would actually trade three first round picks for a guy he is going to draft and then ask his team to look into the guy's background to make sure he didn't screw up....

Stupidity like that aside, liked it.

Bloodsport. It might be the all-timer in this group. It's absolutely terrible, and a must-watch every time it's on.

Bump. This is more interesting than a simple "Bad Movie" thread.

I looked back through the thread. Did nobody mention The Rocky Horror Picture Show?

The Boondock Saints. Has grown from trash to a cult classic.
Barbarella. worth it for Ms. Fonda in her prime.
Death Race 2000. Who even thought of this? But you can't look away.
The Gumball Rally. This is an epic classic for me. Ford vs. Ferrari of a different era.
Labyrinth might qualify.

If I can depart from "movies", Netflix's Teenage Bounty Hunters series (now cancelled) absolutely fits this category.
