I agree but if I was Chesney I would pass on the Stanford job. He will land a better opportunityIf I were Stanford I would be more keen on Chesney.
I think Penn State is losing interest in Chesney. He'd be my pick though. He's won everywhere he's been.I agree but if I was Chesney I would pass on the Stanford job. He will land a better opportunity
No need for him to leave James Madison this year. He can wait until right opportunity arises.I think Penn State is losing interest in Chesney. He'd be my pick though. He's won everywhere he's been.
They asked Benedict about it on Dibble the other day. His response was basically Coach is totally focused on FAU. In other words, no comment.I am sure our UConn media will ask JM or DB about this…/s
If it is offered he takes it. The bottom could fall out at JMU at any time, maybe injuries, maybe another team gets hot. Suddenly he’s just another G5 coach. No need for him to leave James Madison this year. He can wait until right opportunity arises.
Looking at his timeline that doesn’t appear to be the case.
You think he would go back to UCLA? I don’t see it.If it is offered he takes it. The bottom could fall out at JMU at any time, maybe injuries, maybe another team gets hot. Suddenly he’s just another G5 coach.
I sort of know what you mean. But I can’t imagine him turning down Stanford or UCLA.
If Mora was going to any other school, we would've heard inklings from the media that he was interested. It has been radio silent, the JM name has been missing from the carousel completely
He’s talking ChesneyYou think he would go back to UCLA? I don’t see it.
Mora's name being mentioned in an article for an interview != Mora's name getting linked to a coaching openingI don't have the time to grade each tweet or article for quality of info......but there literally a dozen links in these threads with people mentioning Mora's name.
It is the case. He's a Rutgers fan who lives in Connecticut and he's been wrong about every single thing he tweets about UConn.Looking at his timeline that doesn’t appear to be the case.

I mean, were not too far off from when we averaged 20k a season. Winning solves everything, and when Stanford was constantly winning they were averaging 40k plusAmazing resources at Stanford except fans.
Oh I’m responding to a post about Chesney. Mora is in a different place in many ways. But no, I don’t think he will go to UCLA.You think he would go back to UCLA? I don’t see it.
I agree. But then we heard nothing of the Jim Mora to UConn talk until Jim Mora was announced to UConn.Mora's name being mentioned in an article for an interview != Mora's name getting linked to a coaching opening
Basically, we have heard 0 smoke of the "James Franklin to VA Tech" type
UCLA job has become coach suicide. Stanford is probably the better of the two jobs since it appears they are now willing to allocate more resources to the football team.If it is offered he takes it. The bottom could fall out at JMU at any time, maybe injuries, maybe another team gets hot. Suddenly he’s just another G5 coach.

This from the guy who thinks Boston is the best desitination city in the nation for P4 athletes.Mora's name being mentioned in an article for an interview != Mora's name getting linked to a coaching opening

Define more success. We left our conference. Your conference left you.umass west but we have put better NFL players in the league than yall.. more success overall. lol
The question is has he interviewed for any of these jobs? That is the question the reporters should have asked.I forgot where I was reading it last night but they talked about 5 best candidates for the Stanford job and Reich was number one. Mentioned how he has done a good job with resources at his disposal and how expectations are low. Also the connection between him and Luck are there as he coached Luck at Indy. Mora was listed at 3 but reasoning was basically he knows the west coast well and has done an amazing job at UConn.
TBH, I feel like the only reason Mora is being linked with these jobs out west is because he is considered a “west coast guy”. He’s done pretty darn well on the east coast at a school with low resources and no conference. His rebuild at UConn gets him in the conversation for these jobs but the main reason you hear for him being a fit for these west coast jobs is that he’s a west coast guy.
