If Ben was couple inches taller his number might be in the rafters with Ray / Rip. The way he was able to shoot/score the ball at his size was incredible, so fun to watch especially when he was really cookin. As a Celtic fan he actually had me almost rooting for the Bulls in those epic playoffs. I was damn sure rooting for every shot he took to go in. He’s been a Husky of Honor 20+ years in my book, this just a formality. Congrats to BG, hopefully all the 04 guys are able to be there.

Yet Ray wasn’t a National champion! Ray couldn’t carry a team,he had to go to Boston and with KG and PP or Miami With LeBron. He was a good little player with Milwaukee and Seattle.

Although I don't really agree with the Ray slight, it is kind of funny our own Samson Johnson, who waxes poetic about everything, immediately had a negative to say about Ben in comparison to 2 of our greatest.

Ben Gordon, who was a dawg in the s16 as a soph and won a chip and a BET (that one was almost single-handedly) as a junior, then went 3rd in the draft and won ROY.

I called @superjohn Samson Johnson and it edited it automatically to Samson Johnson.

What did Samson Johnson say that was negative about Gordon?

Did he not call him rookie of the year?

After knowing you meant superjohn, he did try to call Cam Spencer the best offensive 2G in our program history.

There are as many great Huskies who can bring an instant smile to my face as there are great places to get (a)pizza in Connecticut. Fighting over who is better or best seems foolish to me.
Just showing there may be something against Ben is all. Cam Spencer was great for us last year. But Ben is Ben and it’s kind of a crazy statement to make when he exists after everything he did.

So is it $100 for an autograph or is it $100 for the jersey + autograph?

That's more debatable your writing errors. Mind your own business, not Ben Gordon's.

"Hopefully" would require a comma after it, and the "he" that follows, as written, refers to Ben Gordon. How do you presume to know that he has a plan prescribed for himself, that he is sticking to any such plan if he has one, and that he is doing so with a sense of hopefulness? That's all conjecture. Stick to your own progress.

Isn't it your responsibility to take care in writing properly? Or is it Ben Gordon's? Btw, Ben asked me to mention this, even though it's not really my responsibility. I'm doing so in support of his upcoming honor.

I agree with Ben that you could posdibly improve your writing if you were not putting your attention on BG.
It’s posdible?

Isn't that a pastime of fans? We discuss which players and teams were better than others. Even saying Ray and Rip were better is just one man's opinion and given the number of great Huskies we've had, isn't a slight. To be a top 3 Husky is pretty special. I think you're overreacting to normal fan behavior.

I own that it seems foolish to me, especially in advance consideration of a day of highest recognition.

“Ben was always the quiet guy, I’d call him ‘the quiet assassin,'” Calhoun said. “You know what I loved about Ben? He knew what he was. He didn’t try to be something he wasn’t. He had a lot of natural instincts of how to play the game, and how to score.”

Saw this in the article also. That should be a good read.

Calhoun has a book, for which I am a co-author, coming out later this year that explores his relationships with many of his former players, including Ben Gordon. They’ve stayed in contact; Calhoun urging him to reconnect and stay connected with his UConn family.

Alternate access:
‘He didn’t talk loud, he played loud.’ Ben Gordon taking his place among UConn greats
