Rip and Ray were clearly better than him. Ray was a national player of the year. Rip was back to back Big East player of the year, 1st team all-American, and final 4 MOP. Ben was awesome but he was second best on the team his sophomore and junior seasons.

I think Ben without Emeka is a clear all American player. He was as talented as any player in the country and we saw that talent on display, albeit briefly, with the Bulls. I think Emeka overshadowed (for good reasons) but watch Ben drop 36 against Alabama. Dude was an elite talent.

Remember when Duke took Daniel Ewing instead of Gordon?

Think that’s a little harsh. Neither Ray nor Rip had an Emeka. Ben was effortless in the way he played. If he was surrounded by anything other than the greatest lineup we’ve ever had, he easily could have scored 25-30 a game.

Sometimes not talking (typing) is underrated. Ben belongs on the wall regardless of anything. Two BE titles and 2004 doesn’t happen without him.

That's more debatable your writing errors. Mind your own business, not Ben Gordon's.

"Hopefully" would require a comma after it, and the "he" that follows, as written, refers to Ben Gordon. How do you presume to know that he has a plan prescribed for himself, that he is sticking to any such plan if he has one, and that he is doing so with a sense of hopefulness? That's all conjecture. Stick to your own progress.

Isn't it your responsibility to take care in writing properly? Or is it Ben Gordon's? Btw, Ben asked me to mention this, even though it's not really my responsibility. I'm doing so in support of his upcoming honor.

I agree with Ben that you could posdibly improve your writing if you were not putting your attention on BG.
A bit over the top, but the essence is accurate. A few posters here must be perfect people. And boring as all get out.

So much to work with here, but I'll stand pat with the omitted word from my first sentence that you quoted, and then ask, "Who here isn't an imperfectly perfect person?"

Good for Ben. I hope they keep him close. I don't know if he even finished up, but have him work towards that degree and then help him out.

Life’s tough when you have what he has. Got family members with bi-polar and when you go manic, it is a trainwreck on your life if you don't have support.

It’s impossible to compare multiple legends, but Ben Gordon as a scoring 2 takes a backseat to very few on earth.

One of my favorite players ever, and as a 2 myself with SLIGHTLY less talent, I tried to model plenty of pull ups off him. One of the absolute smoothest and coldest killers ever. Ball barely touched the net on those moon balls.

I’m just grateful you don’t dump on me for my horrible grammar. @HooperScooper on the other hand…

I can't remember when I've corrected grammar on here. Can you show me a time I did that? Correcting the spelling of the players' names? Yup, lots of times.

And correcting an avatar when a poster jipped us out of a championship? Heck yeah! :)

The point is Hans is selective with the grammar he corrects. You on the other let nothing slide when it comes to spelling of our players names.

As much as I would love to do that, it would be a full time job correcting all the misspellings of our players' names on here. Unfortunately I already have a full time job where I actually get paid. So I'll just stick to selectively correcting the misspellings. :)

Yet Ray wasn’t a National champion! Ray couldn’t carry a team,he had to go to Boston and with KG and PP or Miami With LeBron. He was a good little player with Milwaukee and Seattle.
