"Best Beer" is the 10 you drink for 40 minutes of watching our hoops this year. Doesn't matter what it is either, just keep drinking.

I find Wild Turkey 101 to be a more calorie efficient way to numb that particular experience.

If anyone has Kiwi Rising on shelves, it's a tremendous beer. Love the can format this year.
Earlier today I saw this:

I went with Grey Sails' Leaning Chimney Smoked Porter (haven't had one yet). But the pineapple kinda looked intriguing.

I thought I was smart, planning to get my boss some Treehouse for the Holidays. My work is flexibile, do you think there is any time/day to go which should be the least busy?
Check their schedule for when they are not open

Might be good but Stillwater is so expensive. Pineapple sculpin was awful. Way too sweet.

At an Xmas party last night....always nice to pop open a few of these from my parents' homeland.

At Peculiar Pub on Bleeker and drinking my first Sweet Baby Jesus.

Mommy!

Had SoS at Eli Cannons earlier this week. Been a while, still great.

Was at Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford Thursday night....had a few snifters of Captain's Daughter. Yum. The food wasn't bad either. :-)

I went to ABC last night and they had both. I really enjoy the place.
Way better than any of the incarnations it used to be. Do the whole craft beer and upscale pub food vibe really well. I used to go for trivia every week but haven't been since they switched the guy a few months ago.

Wood n Tap just opened in Newington and had a killer draft list. Fuzzy Baby Ducks, Sip, Captain's Daughter, Beer'd Heavyweight @ 11.2% among others...also tried Dogs and Boats by Beer'd and it was delicious...Citra and Mosaic hops...yum.

Man, the newington location is WAY better than the others in terms of beer lists. As of 12/19 they got:
CT beers:
Beer'd frank and berry: 9.1
Beer'd whisker'd wit 5.2
NEBCO supernaut 5.8
Beer'd this side of paradise 9.3
Stubborn beauty nummy yummy 8.1
Kent falls coffee table 4.5
Kent falls semblance 4.8

Plus many others...
Can get growlers of any beer as well
I just asked, but has to be <8% beer and have to buy their growler.

FINALLY succumbed and tried Sweet Baby Jesus from Duclaw. It's a chocolate peanut butter porter.

So regret avoiding it til Saturday. It was a flavorful mallet to the pallate.

Clown shoes- space cake #7.....mass beer but best out right now. Released in october. 7.7 abv

Two years ago I would have agreed with you. But so many other New England beers have caught up...

And for God's sake (and yours) don't drink it from the can. I don't care what John says, it's much better poured into a proper glass (not a shaker pint).

anyone ever see Gritty McDuffs here in CT package stores?
10 years ago it was all the rage - a real rarity
but now their stuff is merely average overall but some of their clothing is still eye catching

Im at the Alchemist frequently. have always had it directly from the can - no issues at all. But been drinking all their stuff recently out of a proper glass - deeeelish no matter how you drink it. I will say this. If you go to their facebook page, whenever there is a new special release, they do a video clip on the beer. They always pour it in a proper glass on the video. I think the "drink out of the can" thing started so you would not see how cloudy it is - just a guess.

I like it out of a proper glass better too.
