You are spoiled in New England. Cigar City Jai alai and Maduro are about the only decent FL beers and since being acquired I think the quality has dipped. Lots of fraudulent brewers popping up to cash in on the warm weather/beach/boating scene here. Where most NE brewers are pushing the limits and delivering quality.

Funny - my Dad heard about our party and sent me a 6-pak of Jai Lai - decent. Not sure it will make cut tomorrow. Hopefully things improve for you down there.

Haven't cracked them open yet. This weekend. I have 6 different Trillium beers in my refrigerator. Actually 7 since I haven't opened the bottle of Red Broken Angel I bought last month.

Pretty eventful week for beer. CT Valley/Trailblazer opened their new brewery in South Windsor on Wednesday, and Tree House's new brewery in Charlton opens today with full pours in their tap room!

Their Facebook page, but I found out after the fact and they sold out that day. Drove by it about a week ago, place looks awesome.

Can't wait to check it out. How did you find out about this? A friend texted me about 10:00 saying it was opening at noon. He said they kept silent about it to keep the crowds down.

Connecticut Valley Brewing just opened in South Windsor. I only tried one at father in law's but it was decent. "Trailblazer" a New England IPA so it was extremely hoppy but not particularly balanced. A bit like Heady Topper.

This beer distributed by Twelve Percent LLC , called Vanilla Burger Bun Crispy Fries by Omnipollo brewed and canned in East Haven is excellent. very juicy and no tartness like Bird Bird has.

Evil Twin Brewing's twin brother is the brewer from Omnipollo and they are both fortunate enough to can and release their beers at Overshores. Smart move by Overshores too since they were literally a few days away from closing for good.

Had Two Roads Conntucky Lightnin last weekend and now I'm on a big bourbon barrel aged beer kick.

Sampled Boulevard Quad Barrel Ale and a New Holland Dragons Milk Stout. Both were super flavorful, kinda tasted like dessert.

Frozen beer- still drinkable?
I had some cans on top shelf of fridge and that is where the cold air blows to cool fridge. The cans didn't completely freeze and didn't burst. Will beer be okay when it thaws?

Yes.

And if you drink it while some is still frozen it will be stronger. Less water and therefore more concentrated.

I did this with a double dry hopped Melcher Street yesterday. You can usually smell that beer from across the room, but in concentrated form is was really something else.
