Tree house tornado. Tremendous

Why is that not a surprise. I can verify that the new Trillium Fort Point with Motueka hops is very good. Not my favorite though.

I can tell you what is not the best beer, UFO Huckleberry. It is, however, more pleasant on a hot day than Bud, Coors or Miller (or the lite variants). Longtrail Blackberry is a better version of the same thing.

Does anybody else stock beer for those guests who drink macro brews? I had been buying Jack's Abby House Lager for that purpose, but just grabbed some Narangansett for $6 a 6 pack of 16oz cans. Seems to fit the bill.
I bought a 30 of bud for my softball team 2 weeks ago. There's 25 buds in my garage.

Just had it on Friday and still have some in the refrigerator (hmmm, maybe I'll have one now!). Yes, very good. Trillium doesn't make many bad beers. Tree House either.

I am back playing softball after 12 year hiatus. Bought 12 crap beers, and 24 craft beers. Told the 24 year olds they need to improve their palate when the old dude is buying.

At Boston Calling music fest and they had Mikkeller beers, a Danish microbrewer I've never had before. Wow they were good. Hoppy pilsener was the best.

Back at hotel now drinking Heady Topper that's at least two and a half months old and it still tastes great.

Any recommendations on a good sour?

Also any recommendations for a good liquor store wi a good beer selection in Newington/elmwood west Hartford? I'm disappointed in the selection at Crazy Bruce's

Check out The Wise Old Dog near the WH/Elmwood line. They just expanded their store. Cool owner. Great selection.

Did anyone pick up the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12 pack? It was released last Thursday and by the time I got to the store near me that had it they were sold out. Wondering how it is. I heard the Tree House collaboration wasn't very good.

Hop, skip and a fart from my office. Solid heads up.

This one has a smooth outside shot; excels at the euro game, can play 4th guard for UConn, split with Vital at the 3.

I was at Fat Orange Cat for my first visit last Saturday. Very casual vibe on a residential property in the East Hampton woods. I got a 4-pack of Launch and rank it right there with Foley Brothers Prospect.

I have always loved Back East's Rakautra. The No Filter from Hooker has an excellent resin flavor that I crave.

Looking forward to trying the Ruffled Feathers.
Fat Orange Cat was great, especially consensus. I don't agree with Beer Advocate's score. However, I just opened a crowler I purchased from them in Mid-April, and the taste dissipated quickly. My mistake for not opening it and drinking it sooner.

I had Ruffled Feathers at Stony Creek, and it's not all that great.

Headed to Sugarbush for their Brew-Grass Festival this weekend. Looking forward to trying Double Sunshine and many others.

Double Sunshine is amazing stuff. Somis Triple Sunshine. I find Double Sunshine is much better than Sip. I'd make sure to try the Kiwi too, plus both Foley Brothers DIPAs. Some good stuff there, and some really meh stuff too.

Just had Foley Brothers Prospect last night. I liked it, but it was very unique as far as DIPAs go; it was on the sweet side. Reminded me of the SingleCut beer I tried a few months back.

I know I keep banging the same drum, but The Feral King is another great brew from Relic. Dank (I swear it smells like pot), tropical sweet mango with just a touch of a grassy bitter finish. Plenty of beer and no line at the brewery today. His stuff is starting to hit the package stores so if you see it, buy it!

Everyone needs to move on from the unfiltered IPA

Was in Colorado last week at Vail Brewing Co. They had a beer called Smaht Juice. It was described as an unfiltered New England style juicy IPA. It wasn't nearly as hazy as a Tree House or Trillium becauase the locals didn't think anyone would drink a muddy beer yet out west, but it wasn't clear earthier. It was good but not great. The haze holds the hop oils so it was missing aroma. I think this style is still in its infancy.

It's like anything else: it's a fairly new style, so it's the hot thing to brew right now. Seems like every brewery has one or is coming out with one soon. I don't mind it, because competition is a great thing in the beer industry. Two Roads' Two Juicy is really good on tap (wasn't a huge fan of it out of the can), HOOKER's #unfiltered is really good too. Those are probably my two favorite "new" NEIPAs that have come out.

Radiant Pig out of NYC has a killer IPA called Save The Robots. It was on tap last Friday night at the Stand in Branford. If you see it grab it. A delicious resin finish. It just may have cracked my Top 5 fave brewskis.

Anyone looking to go to a beer fest Siptemberfest might be the one to go to. I went last year and Some of the brewers were The Alchemist, Lawson's, Foam and Treehouse. Tickets went on sale today and the good thing about this one besides the beer is they limit the tickets so it's not too crowded.

My brother bought me 2 four packs of Hop Hands and a growler of Alien Church from Tired Hands in Ardmore, PA. The Alien Church is an excellent IPA, better than all the NEIPAs from CT and Hop Hands is a very good APA for the summer.

NEBCo is releasing Double Fuzzy Baby Ducks today for growler fills and according to their Instagram account, they will be canning this fantastic beer soon too!

Anyone made it out to Fox Farm Brewery in Salem yet? It's been open about 5 weeks. They pumped serious money into this place. The tasting room is gorgeous and on a nice private plot of land that you can enjoy with picnic tables outside. The beer is way above average. Every variation of their pale ale is delicious. I've got a growler of their Double IPA brewed with grapes from their farm in the fridge. I'm looking forward to cracking that one at some point this week.

They released a slightly sour farmhouse ale called Freckled Fields that I think is a perfect summer beer. They are also bottle conditioning it and will be releasing bottles in a few a weeks. Based on a quick chat with an employee it sounds like they plan on really ramping up on the farmhouse styles and funky stuff.

I stopped there in Friday saw it on the board and passed cause I never heard of it.

I just caught a Lite Beer commercial that said it's "to be enjoyed on nights that start out as afternoons." Isn't that just like saying it's the one beer to have when you're having more than one?

My usual go-to regional brewery, Great Lakes, up in Cleveland finally produced a beer I don't like. "Grandes Lagos", flavored with hibiscus. I didn't know what to really expect, but I love hibiscus agua frescas and was willing to try it even though I disdain most all fruity beers. Doesn't work. At all.

This new Persian lime gose from Two Roads. If you like the style and see it, it is a must.
