Can't wait for Napier to destroy lavine in that lakers workout

Quite frankly, while Miami would most likely select Bazz, it's becoming less likely he would still. be on the board. It's all good.

Quite frankly, why do you think this is some kind of scoop? This is what basically everyone who covers the draft has been saying for the last week.

And everyone earlier in this exact same thread as well. So...breaking news for The Chief.

So napier continues his climb in the inner circles of nba front offices across the league. Check out Ford's latest mock. Has him pegged @ 15 to ATL.

The Hawks like international players, and Nurkic would be a strong possibility if he's here. They'd also take a long look at Saric if he falls this far, though waiting two years might scare them away.

Kyle Anderson is another strong possibility here. Head coach Mike Budenholzer got to see firsthand how the Spurs used Boris Diaw. Anderson is the closest thing we've seen to him since Diaw entered the league, and the word is the Hawks are very high on him.

However, the Hawks are also not completely sold on Jeff Teague and could explore the market for him this summer. That's led them to take long looks at both Shabazz Napier and Payton at No. 15 if something materializes in the next few days. Napier, especially, seems to have gained momentum in workouts the past few weeks, and sources say he's moved into a strong possibility in Atlanta.

16. Chicago Bulls (from Charlotte): Shabazz Napier, Connecticut, PG, 6-1, 175, Sr. – The Bulls are said to be hot on Napier, who has been invited to the NBA draft's green room.

SI's new mock released today, with Bazz going to the Bulls with their 19th pick

    SHABAZZ NAPIER, GUARD
    UCONN, SENIOR | 6-1, 175
Napier’s stock continues to rise. He reportedly accepted an invitation to sit in the green room during the draft, a sure sign Napier expects to be selected early. The Bulls are confident that Derrick Rose will be at full strength by training camp, but Napier, a polished playmaker, is a good insurance policy. Tyler Ennis and T.J. Warren are strong possibilities too.

Nbatv just ran like a 10 min segment on napier including a great ( as always ) interview with KO + some old footage of KO hooping with bron. Rick Kamla was pretty flabbergasted by where napier stood in mocks, pretty funny. his old fantasy basketball show from back in the day was legendary, espcially when they took calls

Sources: Heat aggressively trying to move up in draft. Target is Shabazz Napier. LeBron thinks he’s best PG in the draft & Heat need a PG

If true, that's absolutely awesome that people are trying to move up in the draft to grab Shabazz. He's a more desired commodity than people were first expecting.

The heat could use DD in the second round too, no?

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but it is something that I have thought would make sense for awhile now. It would take DD some time to get ready physically I think but his skill set matches what Miami likes to do.

The Heat wanting Bazz rumors are running hard right now.

Damn. One before the C's. Looks like they'll have to pass up Embiid to draft him at 6. :D

C's only take Shabazz at 17 if the get a SF or Aaron Gordon (who I think will play SF in the NBA) at 6. If they take Embiid, they will be taking a SF/SG at 17.

Edit: Unless of course, LeBron comes to Boston...then SF is set and I think they take him at 17.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/co...-wiggins-jabari-parker-joel-embiid/?eref=sihp NBA Scout on Shabazz: "He probably has the biggest balls in this whole draft. That goes a long way."

I'm just now reading this and got to the part about Marcus Smart:

Marcus Smart, 6-3 guard, Oklahoma State. "Love his toughness, his grit. I think he's the best point guard out there. His shooting isn't a big concern for me. That part will come, all he needs is reps. You're betting on the kid more than the skill set. All he's ever done in his life is win."

How does 2 straight first round tourney Ls equate to winning?

I'm sorry if this is misplaced, but what happened to DeAndre Daniels? Falling like a ton of bricks in this draft...

Hes just gallivanting around the US. Do the teams fly him there and put him up in a hotel? Probably a dumb question but I am curious
Yes, all expenses are on the team. He isn't in college anymore.

Yep, and here's the link to the article.

The Miami Heat have started the process of courting LeBron James with an aggressive attempt to move up in Thursday's NBA draft, with their target being former UConn point guard Shabazz Napier, league sources said.
