Baylor-Oklahoma

Oh man, Kalani Brown just elbowed Vionese Pierre-Louis (VPL) in the face. VPL got called for a defensive foul

Refs reviewed the play. VPL foul stands but Brown is charged with unsportsmanlike foul. Both teams shoot foul shots and OK gets the ball

OK up 12-5. I don’t think they can maintain this intensity against a strong Baylor team though

This is a higher quality game than the others that are on. Baylor closed the gap now down 16-13

Natalie Chou looks really good. She definitely made the Sophomore jump but Cox just looks so slow when she plays against the best posts. OKU hit 2 3pt shots to end Q1 22-16. They are competing just like they did against UConn.

.-.
Cox seems to lose interest the game sometimes

OK hanging on to a slim lead, up 22-20 early in the second quarter

OK freshman Ana Llanusa nailing threes, wow

OK up 27-22

Baylor defense has been good but shooting has gone cold despite getting some decent looks

OK outreboundin Baylor, don’t know if it’s because Brown has been on the bench since the elbowing foul. IMO that and Baylor’s cold shooting are why OK still has the lead

Baylor toughens up the defense and goes on an 11-0 run to take the lead, 33-30

OU was lucky for two things. Foul trouble and cold shooting.
As an objective fan, I would say OK had more than luck. They played hard, made some big threes, and got some key rebounds. I think they’re in trouble when Brown comes back, though.

The swinging of elbows above shoulder height was a point of emphasis last year so refs are still pretty aware of those fouls.. That wasn’t luck on the part of OK either.

All told, it’s been a pretty entertaining game.

Thanks, I was watching Tenn-SC.

It was luck that it has happened. Kalani has only really been in foul trouble once. OK is not as good on daily basis that they are playing. They were shooting well above what they typically do. Notice the 2-12 shooting to close out the half. That is OK shooting on a daily basis. Not saying they aren't playing well, but let's be real if Baylor was shooting well like they do on the regular it would be a little different score.

Not trying to be argumentative but OK took the shots that Baylor allowed and to their credit, they made them. When Baylor changed up the defense, OK didn’t get those shots.

Oklahoma shot 40.3% against UConn and are making 44.1% this season so I don’t think they’re nearly as bad as you believe.

I would think you’d prefer to beat a good team than a bad one but I guess you guys are rivals?

If we were playing a top 10 team I would be more okay. However, we should be beat them handily. I think it's kinda like when UConn isn't beating a team by expectation or like coach would like. Kind of like earlier this week when they were only up by 12 at half.

Also, sorry I am a little testy at the minute. This game has me on edge.

Refs getting paid on a per whistle basis? Let the kids play

Ouch, what a collision! Insult to injury, Llanusa called for the foul. It was a good call

I take back my previous statement. The Game is getting very physical. Refs are right to call these to keep the game in control.

Baylor now up 45-34 with some tough defense and good shooting. The rebounding is much better, too

Natalie is my new Nina Davis. I love everything she does.

This game has been a great indicator of what does Baylor do without Kalani Brown.

Also, notice the hot shooting from OU has gone cold.

Baylor’s improved rebounding has eliminated the OK fast breaks and made them a half’s court team, where they’re less effective
