Baylor looks very tough...very tough!

I expect Louisville fans to be smiling now. Probably South Carolina fans too.

Well I thought they did too. No lie lol but I didn't make the post.

Let me flee to sicem and read what Baylor fans talking about.
Recap:

-The roster is thin
-Kim left a mess for Coach Collen and was letting the program burn down
-Smith was not 100%
- Collen needs more time to install her WNBA offense
-Bad shooting night
-Owens twisted her ankle
-Refs were inconsistent
-Collen didnt make adjustments

Uhh..when I wrote that Baylor was looking tough..I thought exactly that.
I'm delighted they went down...South Dakota has looked incredibly legit in carving
up power 5 Mississippi and now power 5 Baylor.

Having 2 seeds Iowa and Baylor out so early surprises me.
Having Baylor and Kentucky [both teams men and women... in round one
for the Wildcats] out before the second weekend surprises me. Wish I were a betting soul
and had put down a bob or two on that 4 team combo.

My predictive abilities are suspect for sure.

women: sweet 16 Iowa State and Creighton in Greensboro! My ...uhhh...'bet' is that ESPN execs
were in tears when the Big Cz missed that 2 footer to tie ISU in the last second. No Caitlin...no Iowa...Iowa/Iowa State would draw lots of fans...but delighted that Creighton made the BE proud.

Looks like South Dakota didn't lose any sleep.

I did find it odd that you created this thread as a result of Baylor crushing a non-NCAA tourney team (and 9th place Big 12 team) Oklahoma State. Would have been more reasonable when they were crushing Top 10 Iowa State on the road on February 28; and, there probably was discussion that night about how great they were playing.

And, to think, Charli Creme bumped Baylor up to a #1 seed in his bracket because he was so impressed with Baylor's win over Oklahoma in the Big 12 semi-finals.

Charlie Creme is _______________. And his read on Oklahoma was just as bad. I didn't think either of these teams deserved the seeding they received.

if I could like this 1,000 times I would! The shocked look on their faces in a game I think they expected would be a cakewalk - it was priceless. Loved seeing Baylor go down! the excitement by the South Dakota team was so fun to see.
Imagine what the rest of the WBB world felt like the last few years when UConn failed to advance.

I like Creme a lot, and really appreciate his contributions, but it's very evident he hasn't watched, played, or coached basketball for a living. He actually has a full-time job that's not basketball related for 10 months a year, and I think it hurts him a little bit in the inability to watch teams regularly throughout the season and see what's going on on the court and with various matchups, player development, injuries, etc. instead of primarily just going based on the RPI/NET team sheets.

IMHO, his blinders always emerge most when he has to adjust on the fly based on how teams are playing very recently, rather than relying on a body of work, SOS, and W/L.
