Baylor brings back 2023 Draft pick

Here’s a fun hypothetical: the Knicks (own his rights) can call him up or trade him elsewhere and he would have to leave Baylor on the spot.
First they'd have to actually sign him, so he'd essentially have to agree to leave Baylor and sign in the NBA

There was a day when high schoolers only competed with regional talent for college scholarships. Nowadays they are fighting 5-6 year seniors, transfers (including graduates), foreign players, redshirted players, NIL (including one and dones), and soon ex-NBAer.

Just saying this thread made me realize why mixtapes exist.

Why stop there? Let's get Sanogo and Newton too. I'd say Castle and Clingan also but the Spurs and Trail Blazers are never giving up those two.
Da Fug let's get the band back together Jackson, Sanogo, and Hawkins. Shoot why not grab Christian Vital and the Wrench to fill out the bench and get them a ring?

I know you are joking but there would be an argument for Sanago if he didn’t play 13 NBA games. He still had eligibility. At least it seems that way.

So it seems as though the Knicks will retain his rights if he ever wants to sign in the NBA. No re entering the draft.

I was thinking about it at work yesterday as I was daydreaming out my window while making coffee. What would our starting lineup be today if kids still stayed 4 years like the old days.

Cling, AK, Liam, Braylon, Steph?

All these questionable in season pick ups should have to wait to the following season. Everyone is not allowed to recruit these G-League / Euro League, in season kids.

I’m old enough to remember when guys declared for the draft they forfeited their roster emailing eligibility if they didn’t remove their name from the draft.

Because he's a 2nd round international, correct.
Sounds to me like we’re very close to players getting drafted, being told not to sign a contract, and directed to go back to college for development. We should probably reach out to all the northeastern NBA teams about potentially becoming the place they send their draft picks to develop.

I just don’t understand why you would want someone who couldn’t cut it in the nba back on your team. I get there’s a physical advantage but like, Braylon Mullins can go make an impact on nba team right now I could care less Baylor picked up some g league reject.
