B1G 25-26

Because of the ice storm in Maryland, very few people can leave their homes right now. Going to a Terps game wasn't a high priority yesterday.
Wasn't aware that was still an issue, my mistake. Hope things straighten out soon.

And that's the crazy part about the BIG10 this season. All this can change in the matter of a couple weeks as several of these teams face off against each other.
Bumping this after Maryland's loss Wednesday and Iowa's loss tonight. Sunday has several games that could be toss ups with how things are going in this conference. Saddle up! 😁

Indiana’s B1G season has been a disaster to date but it is partially the result of an unbalanced schedule. Starting today with a home game with Northwestern the Hoosiers have 4 games remaining against the bottom teams in the conference: Rutgers, Penn State, Purdue. Problematic games remain @Wisconsin and vs Oregon.
Plus a difficult road swing against the LA schools.

Winning 4-5 of these won’t “save” the season however and 25-26 will remain traumatic for Hoosier fans who expect more.

That and the talent level for Indiana is decent but not where Coach Moren usually has them. I agree, not the season Hoosier fans expected.

A core group? Heavily supplemented by transfers. How many have been at UCLA their whole careers? I think only Rice and Jaquez. This kinda seems like she's the wrong coach to be delivering this message.

Coach actively discouraging transfers when she has 6 players for next season is hilarious

Wow, Rutgers led USC 15-12 after Q1. They scored 8 points in each of the next 3 quarters and got trashed 71-39. If only they could've called the game after 10 minutes.

Illinois beating the Huskies in Seattle was not on my bingo card. Big deficits in TO’s (16-8) and offensive rebounds (14-5) were a problem. Hmmmm…what is going to happen Wednesday in Eugene? Nice win for Illini.

Stinking Huskies. This is how they honored the Final 4 team? They gave up a bunch of O boards, Illinois put up more shots, then they had to foul at the end and Illini weren't missing. UW shot the ball at quite a bit higher clip, but it didn't matter at all.

The blob is starting to form. 5 teams are 5-6. Ahead of them are 1 at 6-5 and 2 at 7-4.

Nebraska looked like a mess in the fourth quarter of the Ohio State game despite keeping it close until then. They blew an opportunity to pick up a Q1 win. The good news for them is that there will be plenty of other opportunities to secure a few. The bad news is that they do not look like the type of team that will actually win those games. 5-6 conference record with games left @ 9 Michigan, 16 Maryland, @ Minnesota, 8 Iowa, @ Oregon, @ Washington, and Rutgers. There's one guaranteed win on that list. 7-11 and missing the NCAAT would not shock me.

Odd lineup produced by Massey algorithm:
Five B1G teams Minnesota, Washington, Nebraska, Oregon, and Illinois are lined up consecutively from #29 - 33
Another oddity both Illinois and UW gained one point despite their game’s outcome.
