The availability report in advance of today's game. Excluding Welson and Poffenbarger, Maryland's roster is down to 11 players. They still have a decent core with Garzon, McLean, Okananwa and Poffenbarger (when healthy - not sure what current situation is). Their freshman Mack has been solid, which has also helped.

It's Maryland's day game for all the school kids to come to. She's buying into the whole "6-7" phenomenon that is sweeping the country, but I'm sure you know that. 😉☺️

Not surprised by this announcement. Had assumed she was going to redshirt.

Big hit this season. Next season guard rotation is going to be awesome with McDaniel, Smikle, Okananwa, Mack, Welson, Bartelme and Walker. Probably will have to have 4 guards in the starting lineuo.

YOU BETCHA!

They must've set their alarm clocks a bit late today. Didn't wake up til Q4. Was a close game til the final frame when they went on a 32-10 run.

Cal Baptist seems to have fallen on hard times. They were pretty good when they moved up to D1. Now they are just another mediocre at best mid major.

I've watched 3 Penn St games over the past couple of weeks and they are truly terrible: it should be a battle with Northwestern for the bottom of the B1G. I think those two are much worse than the rest of the league and could see either or both only getting one conference win. Hopefully, they will be better than they presently look. I can see even Rutgers finishing ahead of them.

Hey, Purdue and Northwestern want in on this conversation. Maybe Wisconsin too.

Which is wild considering Penn State was, just 12-14 years ago, a pretty solid program. Ranked in the Top 25 consistently. Northwestern has always been iffy. Rutgers remains a mystery.

As we approach Big Ten conference play, we will get to see which teams are contenders and which teams are pretenders. All teams have played one Big Ten game so far. UCLA is the clear favorite, but anything can happen.
