Have we heard anything concrete on Aubrey’s health? I saw she was dressed to play just think if healthy she could have played some minutes

My guess is she is available, but not 100%. Geno keeping her in pocket for the exact moment her d is needed.

ie. Today she would have been perfect solution for Verhulst...but Paige caught fire and that move was not needed.

Aubrey a great weapon, but concern for the recovering knee is important.

I really hope you're right. Aubrey really ought to get to end her career with a splash.

Unless there were health issues both Griff and Caroline should have played the last 3 or 4 minutes. Period.
IMHO, Geno was playing some of the first subs to see how it worked, and not for nothing it's usually the losing coach that subs the bench in first. She didn't, so perhaps Geno didn't. Or, circling back to my first thought, maybe Geno wanted to get the 2nd line some work against the OU starters.

If Aubrey is good to go then she needs some playing time. Saving her can not be possibly be why Geno don't put her in. But I'm not gonna second guess THE MOST WINNINGEST COACH IN ALL OF BASKETBALL.

What at the first 2 rounds and watch her pretty closely and I didn’t think she looked
100 percent
Maybe another week off to be helpful

I'm kind of confused now but it could an element of suprise on the opponent. Luckily have a lot of depth.

I'm thinking the scheduling of 4 games in 1 week to reach the ultimate goal (from sweet 16 on) isn't ideal for her. Hoping she can finish this off on the court in the national championship when it's all said and done.

Aubrey isn't vital to the success of the team and she clearly isn't 100%. What I would say is as long as everyone else is healthy then Aubrey will only play in emergency situations. She can help but her big plus is defense and this team plays great team defense already.

When healthy, Aubrey has been a game-changer for UConn through the years, especially against quick, athletic opposition like USC......I'm certain that Geno will play her during key moments in the game if she is anywhere near 100%.......

I could see Aubrey playing tomorrow night a bit and then she would have days to recover before the next game.

Come on mate, first - nobody's 100% perfect, as coach would head to the front of the line to purport. Second - debate, conflict (respectful, constructive) is one of the main tenants of these sorts of endeavors. One of my own personal great moments, was talking shop with Coach Calhoun, who was especially gratious even as we agreed to disagree on certain aspects. Love the man!

As it relates, when healthy, Griffin's court IQ, ability to anticipate ball movement on defense, and rebound, especially, offensive, is among the best on the team, would place particularly valuable v teams with bigs. Not a knock, one would suspect there was a physical component to her lack of playing time in the last game, especially as she's a senior.

If Aubrey can play I think she will play tonight. USC guards are bigger than of of our littles. Kaitlyn and KK are at risk of being posted up. also we need to out rebound them and Aubrey can help in that department.

OU's guards were bigger, too.

There is a brief interview of Aubrey in the Elite Eight press conference thread. She said she is ready to play, just waiting for the call to go in. Hoping Geno calls her number!

As far as USC’s guards being bigger…not to worry, Paige has it covered. She played all the front court positions last year

Kudos to you and back2sports (who said something similar) regarding how Geno would use Aubrey.

The USC game was very physical and Aubrey has had some soreness in her knee. I think Geno was hoping to use her sparingly but needed her rebounding too much.

The was no way Caroline was getting into that roller derby game last night
