@Yup. Keep the updates coming. Love the updates without giving away too much.
I’m trying… lol that’s how I’m getting the info, he’s giving me information without giving me too much. They’re doing their best to not leak anything to the public because Mora is trying to iron things out with the coaching staff. The introduction may be where most coaching staff will be announced, if not some.

Supposedly in the 12 team playoff proposal the top ranked G5 team would receive an auto-bid. So yes a one loss G5 team could get that bid.

It will be an easier path than being independent and receiving an at large bid.
Regarding the 12 team playoff… that’s not the world we live in yet.

That said, IF and WHEN that happens, I think your idea is overly optimistic. I think the only AQs will be for P5 teams. I don’t think there will be equity for G5 conference winners. 1 or (maybe) 2 spots will go to G5 (as at-large teams) but the rest will go to P5 at large.

I don’t think it makes a difference if we’re part of C-USA or MAC. If it bares out differently, then maybe that IS a reason to join up, but until then, we just need to focus on winning. Period. I’ll be happy when we’re actually in a position to get snubbed.

Names of interest (previous ties to Mora and followed on Twitter by newest recruit offer immediately after Mora)

Jerry Neuheisel
Demetrius Martin
Angus McClure
Taylor Mazzone
David Marsh
John Marinelli
Angus McClure is an interesting one. I admit I know nothing about him but in his current bio on the Cal website they repeatedly state he’s one of the nations top recruiters. I’m sure it’s a bit of a puff piece but who knows. Anyone know more about him? Seems to have been a successful OL coach throughout his career.

Yes..l love that hire! I was hoping...
I know we haven’t done anything on the field yet but I love every move this guy is making.
Me too .. Can't wait to see what Lindy's 2022 College Football Predictions will say about UConn's coaching hire...

Not sure if his name has been brought up but I saw Michael Nysewander of Ole Miss being mentioned. Walk on at Alabama as player. Nice article on his playing time there.

Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere in this thread, this one I haven't been following. When is the earliest we think Mora will/can officially announce his new staff? I'm really excited to know who our new coordinators are and hope they can start getting some recruits in and then look at the portal. I've gotten to really like the Mora hire. However, I'll love it of he brings on assistants who'll add a modern system.

EDIT: Guess Medic was reading my post as I typed!!! Lol. His post above answers some of .y question

He is clearly not making 100s of calls a day by himself. I guess we simply need to keep reading the tea leaves

is this gonna be like the Monday after the last day of games in the NFL when they just flush. You find 15 coaching moves at once. (and with college - 20 kids moving)

This job posting originally showed a closing date of Nov 25 for receiving applications. It now shows a closing date of Nov 30. I don't think they can announce anything until after the closing date. They must have been waiting for someone.

Introductory Press Conference…

Actually he executed a skillful dodge by saying “today is a day we recognize the team seniors” dodging whether any of the staff will be retained.
