Purdue at #22 is ridiculous, RPI #37 makes much more sense... have these voters been watching them lately? And WVU not being ranked is also ridiculous.

It is fascinating to me the difference between a close W and a close L. If UConn had won that game by a point, we'd still be #2 despite it not really being any less cause for alarm. Meanwhile, Delaware's 40-39 win over Drexel was horrendous.

If you think Delaware is too high at 9, then Penn State has to be too high at 11 and Maryland is too high at 6. Once you start moving Delaware down, who do you move up given all the bad losses elsewhere?

It's an interesting question as to who to move up. However, "eyeball test"-wise, a top 10 team shouldn't struggle to beat Hofstra and Drexel.

The argument is often made with Boise State in FB that they only have to gear up for a couple of tough games a year, whereas power conference teams have to deal with the grind of playing good teams more consistently. The same argument could be made to Delaware's detriment vis a vis playing Maryland tough and beating Penn State. But to your point, it's not like anyone else screams top 10 from an eyeball test standpoint.

I understand and agree with the posters with regard Delaware's ranking. For example, with all that talent, Tennessee should destroy Delaware.But suppose EDD goes off for 50 or more points and UTENN ran around mindlessly as they sometimes do. Who knows what could happen?

But Hofstra and st. Bonaventure beat St. John's. So I'm not going to argue transitive property here at all, but Delaware took care of the teams it should beat.
