Arkeel Newsome in the house...

Pat Mac was a good friend of my wife's...and in the short time I got to know him was one of the most stand-up guys I have ever met in my life. I miss the times we shared just shooting the over a beer at a GFOA conference! I never knew about Pat's football accomplishments until after he passed...I wish I did though because I would have loved to listen to his stories about playing for Ansonia!

I was two or three years behind him at Trinity. Inch for inch, the best receiver I have ever watched play at getting to the ball and making the catch. The plays he made for such a small guy as the primary wideout were truly remarkable.

5-foot-9, 185-pound Newsome has run for 6,818 yards, an average of 11.2 yards per carry, and 108 touchdowns in his three-year career.

Seems like a talent kid. For those who are familiar with him does he red shirt his frosh year or does he play?

Looks like HFD is back in the house.
Dont confuse me with HFD. I dont give a crap about marketing to the extent he does. However, somebody acts like a F#CKF@CE I'm gonna let them know about it. Get your holier than thou shinanigans off this board with your internet muscles punk.

Well, thank goodness we can count on you for that.

Great get. We've had a tough time keeping kids from the Valley eligible. Hopefully Arkeel becomes a star here

I LOVE this pickup!!! This kid has been on our radar for what seems to be a decade. So glad that he made the right decision. ;) Go Huskies!!!

Getting some great in-state recruits last couple years.

Agreed! I always hated seeing players like Shaughnessy do well at Wisconsin or Schwapp (r.i.p.) do well at Notre Dame, because I felt like they belonged here at UConn. I like that we are starting to build a wall around the CT talent and keeping some great ones home!

excellent point on the eligibility factor. Kenny Tinney and Kuraczea come to mind.

And it says in the blog that Montrell Dobbs is no longer enrolled in Temple........

This kid sounds like he's fully prepped to move onto college and be successful.........hope he is because he's a great talent.
