Arizona could not be playing worse. Michigan is good, but Arizona has done a total choke job

They came out with absolutely no plan - they legit look uncoached.

Not sure what Hurley is going to do about Mara, we need to somehow get him in some early foul trouble or run some sets where he can’t camp out in the paint

Will have to go at him. Tarris is going to have to anchor down behind Mara and give him all the hooks he wants.

We won't have a chance if they hit threes like this, but AZ has let this get comfortable and allowed them to run away relaxed.

We are going to have to turn it into an absolute grind of a game, fully control pace, run the shotclock deep and hit shots. It won't be easy.

If UM hangs a 30 point win here, they may challenge the 2024 team on spread for a tourney.

To me, the only reason UConn has a puncher's chance in the Michigan game is because UConn can shoot 3s. Arizona is brutally bad with 3s. They missed a TON of open shots tonight.

The best thing is just to play UConn ball on offense and run them around. Play solid defense. Get back, grab defensive rebounds and play mistake free. Just the basics.

If the shots fall, like they can, UConn will be in a good spot if they get the basics down.

I honestly don't pay much attention here. But one of the few times I checked in I was really annoyed because it was obvious then how much they dominated, and somebody was all over Ruff ruff like he stole the jam out of their donut. It was blatantly homerism.

I'm genuinely baffled by Arizona's showing in this game. They're not some creampuff that fattened up on an easy schedule. They were 36-2 in the Big 12 and were pretty much on par with Michigan statistically across the board.

They just looked so unprepared from the moment the ball was tipped that you have to wonder if all the rumors during the week affected them. It doesn't looks like they've watched one minute of film on Michigan. Inexplicable. Alabama played them much tougher than this.

Abysmal - they barely make UM work.

Got to make UM uncomfortable early and grab a lead, and be methodical. Just took a look at the Purdue box, looks like Cluff and Kaufman Ren had their way inside with 20+ points each. No idea why Mara only played 14 minutes in that one with 3 fouls.

Some things we know going into Monday:

• UConn is a tough scout and difficult to plan for, especially if only given less than 2 days.
• UConn will stick to its guns and run its stuff even if its behind, they don't panic
• Michigan lost to Wisconsin and almost lost to them twice
• Michigan lost to Duke at home
• In Michigan's final 5 games prior to the Tourney, they went 4-1, with victory margins of only 3, 3, 4 and 10, and an 8 pt loss to Purdue. Those are all lesser teams to us.

They're big, they play great defense, they're very good offensively. But they're not invincible.

Our A game beats them. Our B game likely gets decided in the final minute. So let's play our A game.

It does feel like they had a single gameplan and have made no adjustments at all once it immediately became clear it wasn’t working. They didn’t have to face a rim protector like this in the tournament.
