Yep. As far as losses go, this one in mid November down two starters to a top 5 Arizona team when we had a lead with 2 minutes to go doesn't bother me all that much. We showed heart and talent, and Reibe grew up.I saw the “punked” and “dominated” headline and thought UConn lost by 25. Not a game where UConn led by 2 with 2:16 left.
I heard they don't, and I heard that Hurley thinks they're meaningless.
Because some UConn fans are not objective and how dare we saying anything not positive. My original point is that AZ is a great team, to LongJohns dismay. That they will only get better because they’re young, and kids like Burries haven’t clicked yet.
Burries was high on all early mocks because of his HS ranking in this class. These things move around by the week based on how a kid is playing, others are playing. Mullins hasn’t moved off his HS ranking because he hasn’t played. But you two eagle eyed scouts, true bird dogs, are saying a kid ranked higher than Mullins is worse than Mullins based on 4 games he played and zero games Mullins has played, Now that is hysterical.
Sounds like you, you spot it you got itI can always spot the posters who have accomplished little in their own lives or are unhappy about their unfulfilled potential.
Not dumb. My point is they weren't playing so they didnt affect whether we won or lost. We regardless had a good chance to win, and would have if we shot better than 50% FTs.This is so dumb.
Yeah because you know it all. Go play with your sword.I’ve enjoyed scrolling through the comments and laughing. Keep it up, everyone.
And if they were gushing over us, it would be cool, right. Arizona, can't stand them, deserves all the accolades so far this season. Here's a whole lot of suck. writers gushing over AZ's win

Or had 5 more rebounds, or their 46% foul shooter doesn’t make everything, or ir we actually shot better. I guess it was a moral victory for some. As soon as I heard Reed wasn’t playing I figured we’d get blown out. Reibe showed some improvement, but everyone else seemed to take a step back. Hoping Mullins can shoot. Not dumb. If UConn was at full strength the game never would've been close.Just got back from my 3 hour drive home from Gampel and am exhausted so only 2 thoughts for now.
Atmosphere was unbelievable the whole night, the fans were into it and ready to explode the whole night but until the last 5 minutes or so we could never get a stop after a basket.
We absolutely win that game with Reed, and very easily could have won without him. This is one of the best teams in the country
No, but it’s been literally 4 games. We’re all calling Mullins a lottery pick too, or at least SuperJohn is. Has he shown any signs of that in exhibition? We are going off HS tape and word of mouth. How is Burries any different? Over 4 college games? Was Castle a 4th pick of the draft 4 games in? Lots of season to go.
He gets a pass because hes still clearly finding his way in this new offense, new team and getting on the same page with Dan Hurley. Remember how rough it was in the beginning with Newton?Silas was too passive until the team got in a hole. This can’t happen, especially down key starters. He needs to start being a little bit more selfish and aggressive. Didn't draw many fouls, but I liked his mid range game in the second half. It’s early and that pulse on the offense will get better.
Idk what kind of shaman/exorcist we need to get Solo’s shooting back but I’m in to try anything lol.
Looking at the replay, Silas was fouled hard on that play- he clearly got bodied, but there was no call.Yup. Two absolutely horrible possessions late. Terrible shot by Solo and the possession where Silas turned it over was doomed before his turnover. Disappointed but feeling really good about this team. We`ve got a solid back up at the 5 who can make an impact and with Tarris and Mullins back and healthy this team can beat anyone.
Handle/PostIts a game against a top 5 team. You play in the game unless you can't walk. Thinking this might effect him later in the season is scared Thinking
We were supposed to get blown out though, right?Solo’s horrible shot at the 90 second mark spelled D O O M

He had 8 assists… the next most from a player on EITHER team was 3He has a tendency to just pound the ball and not pass it. There were times where he literally ran all over the court dribbling for 20 seconds. He needs to stop playing as if he’s at Dayton and realize that his job is to make assists not pound the ball.
Posters here have a recency bias where because he played well in the last five minutes they talk about him having a good game but he actually had a bad game except for the last five minutes.
Nope, not a chance 🙄Does UConn practice Free Throws
I loved seeing Reibe get those minutes and he didn’t disappoint. I agree with you here about Karoma. He played tough and deserves some minutes.Reibe was a stud
We needed a killer guard tonight and nobody showed up for that spotlight
Karoma deserves some minutes
I am not ready to blame anything for the loss in terms of guys being out. It is what it is.So we still lose if we have Reed and Mullins? Because that is the natural extension of what you are saying here.
I don't think he was brought in for offense. He was brought in for defense and rebounding and did fine. He is our 3rd sring Center and undersized. Not sure what you expected out of him.
Karoma played his butt off. Of course it would have been nice if he’d made the foul shots but he was active and involved. The bigger question for me is what happens when the team is healthy. Both Stewart and Ross are going to have to see their minutes limited if they can’t become more consistent on both ends of the floor. This is their opportunity to show that they can get the job done. I don’t see the great growth that some do here. Hopefully it comes.I don't think he was brought in for offense. He was brought in for defense and rebounding and did fine. Solo knocked it in, the ball was never out of bounds. The out of bounds play that was reviewed. I think it was Solo diving out of bounds to tip it back in. They didn't show his feet but if his feet were in, that was a clean save and it was crunch time. Did anyone get a better look at that?
I enjoyed the first few pages of comments which reminded me of going to a bar and trying to figure out why the hot chick wouldn’t give me her number.I’ve enjoyed scrolling through the comments and laughing. Keep it up, everyone.
