6 championships would be pretty nice right now..It’s all your fault

So you're confessing that it's your fault that we lostI’ve attended in person for every one of UConn’s five national championships, but that year in 2009 I did not attend because I refuse to go to that hellhole.
I don’t care who we play as long as we’re here. That looks like a definite possibility. That would be like UConn playing in a final four in Hartford.
Of course, neither of us could get to the Final Four. But anyone facing Arizona in Phoenix would have a heavy lift to beat them. It would NOT be neutral court.
Paid about $100 each for 100 level tickets. It was beautiful hahaReally became a buyer's market for tix after Houston got knocked out last year.
They are a flAwed team with a ball hog, early exitThat looks like a definite possibility. That would be like UConn playing in a final four in Hartford.

Final 4 is set for a while. A Texas sites (San Antonio in 2025 and Dallas in 2030), back to Detroit again in 2028. Indianapolis twice (2026 and 2029). Vegas in 2028 is the only new location. Nashville is getting a new stadium soon, so I would expect a FF there in the early 2030s.
They're #4 on Kenpom
Actually there's a pretty simple solution to prevent a final four home game. Just alternate every year between Providence and Rutgers. So you’re proposing moving the Final Four based on the results of the Elite 8??Would be a logistical challenge.
I watch the highlights now and I still think that shot is going in.I will never forget that Arizona game. They had a number of opportunities to win it and there was a lid on the basket. Longest seconds of my basketball watching life. Especially when the ball was in the air on the last shot. Eternity.
It was the sane scenario last year with both Houston and Texas having legit shots at playing in the Final 4 in Houston. It is impossible to avoid unless you put the Final 4 in Canada.....or Syracuse.
That always pisses me off! There is always a round in NC for Duke and NC. I believe Charlotte this year. The big tourist city of Greensboro most other years.
I doubt they make it. But then again you never know...That looks like a definite possibility. That would be like UConn playing in a final four in Hartford.

They should institute a rule that they can't hold any rounds in the same state back to back years or even better, ban the entire state of North Carolina for the next 20 years for being greedy SOBs for hosting so many tourney games where Blue-ball Devils and Tar High Heels have played far too many tournament home games.
Time for Charlie Baker to flex his New England Chowda and put an end to NC's special barbecue sauce treatment.
End of rant!
How's that work?As an AZ native born in ct
had same type of experience - MSU brought all of their dick fans with themWe got harassed after the game- a group of MState fans pushed my wife (there were too many for me to woop their ass). We booked the first fight we could to get out of there.
Um -- you may want to look up the definition of "native." Just saying. As an AZ native born in ct
Go Huskies
And U of A isn't too big around here in metro phx imo; its more ASU territory imho, and even then
I agree that Atlanta is the glaring omission in terms of appropriate domed venues. The cost of construction in the northeast just keeps franchises from building the required domed stadium. Yankee Stadium in 2009 was $1.5B. MetLife was $1.6B in 2010. Mercedes Benz a state of the art domed stadium in ATL was $1.6B in 2019.It's a borderline tragedy that the NYC metro, or the entire NE, doesn't have a venue that can host Final Fours. There's not even an east coast venue in any upcoming . would be curious as to why they can't play the FF in Atlanta.
I'm not surprised by either of those numbers for UNC and Dook. I doubt there's any other program that comes close. It's partly due to bias, but a lot to do with $$ since their fan bases fill up whatever sized venue in NC you put them in.And get this. The University of North Carolina has played a total of 69 NCAA tournament games in their home state of North Carolina.
Hey, if a person who was born in Connecticut identifies as an Arizona native I'm not sure we can question it.Um -- you may want to look up the definition of "native." Just saying.
I think the recent was NC State complaining about Bridgeport. Which I get. And is ironic.Haven’t there been years where the UConn women play in storrs, then bridgeport, then Mohegan? I’m exaggerating but it does seem like that. And yes I understand why
Or unc in Greensboro in 1998-elite 8If we play in Brooklyn and Boston, then we really have nothing to complain about.
But 2009 playing Mich St in Detroit was rough indeed.
I don't think that Arizona fans are nearly as obnoxious as Mich St fans though.
Vs UCLA in Oakland in 96.Or unc in Greensboro in 1998-elite 8
Or Texas in Dallas (I believe in 2003)-sweet 16
Or sd st in Cali in 2011 -sweet 16
Thought there was another one too that I’m missing
You won't see any Final Fours in the Northeast because there aren't any dome NFL stadiums in the Northeast. How come MSG doesn't seem to be a final four venue?
Not big enough. Think the NCAA says minimum seating for 40,000. Think the Trop in 1999 just made it. But you know they like the biggest venues because they're greedy. How come MSG doesn't seem to be a final four venue?
