After a horrendous start, Arizona came back to grab a lead briefly. They are a scrappy team, and their defense can keep them in just about any game.

Since UConn kept the game in the 5/10 point range after falling behind by 10 till the final buzzer anything other than the extremely hot start by Arizona and the game long drought ( 0/7) by our center and we win handily. Mcdonald ( spelling?) is now 2/10. I know woulda , coulda shoulda, but still they weren't supposed to get this far, but they did and it's a shame they didn't get a chance to finish the job in the final against a very beatable Stanford team. Just an extremely satisfied but slightly frustrated ( 5 years with out a finals appearance) UConn ( men's and women's) fan.

I'd rather have had the chance. UConn missing 15 layups against Arizona had as much to do with that loss as anything, not that they handled the defensive schemes well at all.

If that is the best team I’m not worried about next year. Stanford is tall, not very athletic and doesn’t shoot it all that well. With the freshman and more experience that is hardly a team I would sweat coming into next year. Least impressive team I have seen in championship game
