Arizona with the last shot at winning in regulation.

OT

OSU played that smart, gave 2 fouls, took it to 3.5 sec left and McDonald launched a hopeless 30+ footer.

2-0 Arizona in 2 1/2 minutes of OT. I guess good D by both teams, but the O since halftime by OSU has been atrocious.

Thomas w/ her first bucket of the game gives Arizona a 5 point lead. Now 61-58 OSU possession 22.5 sec. left.

OSU flubbed the inbound, led to FTs for McDonald. 63-58 18 sec. left.

65-58 final. Good win for Arizona, pathetic game by OSU. They just aren't that good this year. I don't know what the problem is.

Slocum 4-18 from the floor.

McDonald w/ 22, McBryde 19 and Reese 13. For OSU...who cares.

I had a feeling that Oregon State would have a hangover from celebrating their win over ASU.

Great win for Arizona.

How would you like to be hosting and have Oregon St as a 5 Seed? Oregon St is probably a 4 Seed after this loss, but if they're not careful, they'll end up as a 5 Seed and not hosting.

Oregon State was #9 overall in the reveal. One loss to the #13 team isn't going to drop them to a 4 seed. What it does probably do is move Arizona up to the 3 line, especially since Gonzaga lost yesterday.

Just got back from the game. They missed Brown who was on crutches. Joes plays off her so well, Adia adjusted well on her after she scored 6 of the 1st 8 then only 2 more the rest of the game and OT. Didn't play that well.

Beavs still have Stanford and UCLA on the road. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

They helped off a lot and she got blocked or turned it over quite a bit. Not her best performance.

Charlie in his latest Bracketology had Oregon St has a #3 Seed. That's why I said they probably drop to a 4 seed.

But they were the highest #3 seed, and a loss to the highest #4 seed isn't really a bad loss, and it certainly won't drop them below Gonzaga, who just took a really bad loss.

Rueck lost his cool after this one. Bordering on a fine, I would think.

anyone who watched have thoughts?

Ha I just knew Rueck would have an issue with Arizona, who plays every bit as physical as ASU does.

I didn't get a chance to catch this game, but folks on the Stanford board were saying the same after the UCLA and U$C games, especially the folks who were watching in person, where you can hear (and sometimes even *feel* if you're seated up close) the players hit the deck. I think there's a brewing consensus that the refs are letting way too much contact go uncalled this season, and as it has progressed players have realized they have the green light to keep pushing the Overton window (as it were) on physical play.

Lord knows I've been the loudest and most vocal critic of the Missy loose whistle style of ticky tacky foul calling, but wow, the refs seem to have gone too far in the other direction this season.

My suspicion is that Rueck is especially PO'd because OSU has always been susceptible to really physical teams, and after the Kennedy Brown injury, I can see why he'd be doubly concerned.

OSU was very tired in the second half...and missing Kennedy Brown hurt, no doubt. The lack of depth and very physical game contributed to the loss. Rueck is likely to get fined...he really laid into the refereeing.

Yes Graves said the same but Rueck was much more vocal and to the point. I stand with Scott on this.

Graves felt he earned his second technical of the season.

“I didn’t care,” he said. “I wanted to play a basketball game. ... I thought actually tonight we fed off that. We played with some edge tonight and really hard."

I have had a problem with some aspects of the PAC 12 officiating for years. You can slam and push someone all over the court - especially in a loose ball situation - but can get called for really really tacky fouls. I've always found them (generally) consistent, but it isn't how it is called in other conferences.

Why is P-12 refs different? How many coaches in the P-12 agree with that and if it is a majority could they adress it during the off season with Larry Scott the P-12 commish?

They werent that good last year either. They have some good players but havent been able to get it done this season. Arizona schools are better than expected and OSU appears to be a step behind Oregon/Stanford/UCLA. Curious how they'd do in the SEC, ACC or Big Ten.
