Both MD and Louisville are this year's Charlie Creme "favorites". Ever since he annointed them the primary contenders for the final #1 seed, voters are going to do their best to get them in the top 5 of both polls. I am quite surprised that they both didn't (wrongly) jump the Huskies this week.

I don't see why voters would bow to Charlie Creme's opinion. His bracketology is just his opinion, while each poll voter is free and expected to have their own opinion.

I don't think they fall in line with his "favorites" as much as it falls in line with formulas that the committee relies on when deciding seeding. I know they aren't your favorite, but they have a massive impact on deciding seedings. This time of year rankings are a good barometer for who's hot and who's not, but ultimately don't have any influence on NCAA seedings, which is what most fans are concerned about this time of year.

AP voters and I clearly see NW differently. Much at it pains me to say it, I see them as likelier to be in line for a #2 seed than Stanford. No bad losses and a boatload of Q1 wins.
Poll-voting and resume evaluation are two different animals.

It's a close call between Stanford's and NW's resumes. NW has more top 50 wins, but Stanford has more RPI top 25 wins. (FWIW I think that both of them are 2 seeds right now. Or at least they should be.)

Stanford has nothing but quality opponents left on its schedule. If they can pick up at least a couple more quality wins, they'll easily secure a 2 seed.

The AP voters are showing their bias for the 'P5" conferences.
UCLA loses 1 game...down 1 to #9
Miss St. loses 1 game...down 1 spot to #10
NC State wins 1 game...up 2 spots to #8
Arizona loses 1 game...down 2 spots to #13
DePaul loses 1 game...down 4 spots #16
Kentucky loses 1 game...down 1 spot to #15
Oregon State loses 2 games...down 2 spots to #17 (note: with 8 losses I don't even have them in the Boneyard Poll...I'm waiting for someone to tell me they are "good losses")
Florida State loses 1 game...down 2 spots to #19
Arizona State loses 1 game...down 3 spots to #24 (the shock here is they dropped 3 spots)

Bottom line the AP voters have the P5 conference teams on a "longer leash".

Gonzaga, Princeton, and Missouri State all moved up 2 spots. It's not a P5 thing, DePaul got blown out by 18. No one else in the top 20 had a loss as bad.

That Danny Davis fella..... he knows his stuff.

You can tell Danny Davis is not sold on the PAC-12 (Stanford #8, no votes for Oregon St nor Arizona St), not sold on Texas A&M #18 and didn't vote for Arkansas...not to mention lack of love for DePaul.

His voting privileges should be immediately revoked.

This is what happens when you cover Longhorn sports. You start to lose your mind and before ya know it, you get Duke WBB mixed up with their men's team :p

Longhorn MBB is coming on late in the season. Shaka Smart is quieting the wolves.
