How could that mean anything other than a prediction from you that Duke will win the NCAA Tournament?Oh that should be meaningful. I predict Duke will be #1![]()

Unfortunately lost by 20, no worries just keep the 1 seed. Probably lose at Marquette as well. Beat seton hall and providence and win big East tournament and will be overall 1 seed. Would be nice but one seed after tournament is all anyone here cares aboutNo love. Creighton beating UConn but losing to St John’s climbs them three spots, but yet UConn losing to a top 15 drops them two spots. These writers have no clue.
I thought we would only peel off a few bites but stay at one. Houston to their benefit had a strong week and had been 1NET or KPI all year. But still felt we should have had like 25 votes.I'm not one for complaining about disrespect but Purdue has 3 bad losses and we lost on the road to the 12th ranked team. You could make a good case we should still be #1, but we're better than Purdue. I get the arguments the other way but we are crushing teams and had 1 bad loss to a good team that shot the lights out at home.
I won’t. I just don’t remember the last time I saw USF in the AP poll. If anything I’m shocked they are having one of the best seasons their program has ever had.Don’t underestimate the power of the AAC. Look what it did for Houston!
I hate that this late in the season just because you lose you move down. I’m sorry but ranking us other than #1 is disrespectful. Poll the country, and ask whose the best college basketball team pound for pound, and majority will still say Connecticut. Purdue slightly behind. The only good thing is Hurley will use this to motivate the guys. But the disrespect is real.
Media has an unhealthy obsession with Purdue. I just seem them as vulnerable. But what do I know?Seems fair - really is Purdue, Houston, UConn at the top with just about everyone with 6 losses behind the Big 3.

Ha. Maybe superbowl was too strong. How can the defending national champion and an odds on favorite to repeat have a regular season super bowl?
I hope you're speaking for some segments of the fan base and not the team - particularly the part about being scared.

The victimhood here is intense.
Houston would be very good no matter where you place them as long as Sampson is coaching that team.Don’t underestimate the power of the AAC. Look what it did for Houston!
I agree that we are better than Purdue but do think they should be ranked above us at this point. Losing @NW in OT and @Nebraska isn't any different from our loss @SH. They have also beaten a TON of really good teams. Wins over Tennessee (KP-6 and proj 2 seed), Marq (KP 15 and proj 2), Alabama (KP 7 proj 3), Arizona (KP 4 proj 1) and Illinois (KP 10 proj 4). That compares super favorably to home wins against Marq/Creighton and neutral UNC.
If Marquette is a 2 or 3 seed can't they be in the same regional as UConn? I believe they can.
Doesn't it depend where Marquette ends up on the S-curve? If Purdue is the #1 overall seed and Marquette is the highest ranked 2-seed on the S-curve, they cannot be in the Midwest with PurdueNo they wouldn't put 2 protected seeds from the same conference in one region
We look like we'll be E1, Marquette looks destined to be MW2
Yes if MQ was #5 they would get the last 1 seed, most likely out West. I personally think Purdue will end up overall #1 and MQ will be 7 or 8 which sets them up as MW1 and 2Doesn't it depend where Marquette ends up on the S-curve? Nonsense. Connecticut > Houston. We are the better team.We just got spanked by 19 and we only moved down 2 spots.

Creighton got spanked by the same amount to an unranked team and moved up two spots. It’s not victimhood, it’s the writers voting off the weeks box scores, not the bigger picture. All of it doesn’t matter, you don’t win a title in the regular season, but as a fan it’s ok to question it.We just got spanked by 19 and we only moved down 2 spots.

Creighton isn't in our immediate vicinity in the AP poll so whether they moved up or down is irrelevant to us and has no correlation to the movement in the area of the poll we live in. This isn't hard and it is the way the poll has always worked. Weren't we #4 the week prior to jumping to #1 and then because the 3 teams above us lost we then jumped to #1? Did you complain that week about writers voting off that weeks box scores? Because there could've been a claim for one of those 3 teams to stay ahead of us despite a loss based on your "bigger picture" criteria. I bet you didn't complain though. 100% this. The AP poll has always been about "what have you done for me lately." It has no impact on seeding for the tournament, and we just spent 6 weeks as the #1 team so I don't know why we're getting our panties in a bunch about it.Creighton isn't in our immediate vicinity in the AP poll so whether they moved up or down is irrelevant to us and has no correlation to the movement in the area of the poll we live in. Creighton beating us was the best win in College Basketball last week. Other teams immediately around them in the polls lost too, thus the move up for them. If all the teams immediately above Creighton won last week Creighton even with that win they would not move up on a 1-1 week. I don't understand why people don't get this.
I don’t disagree with you it’s how the polls work, but the week you talk about Kansas and Purdue both lost to unranked teams, and Houston lost twice to unranked teams. UConn lost to #15, if the loss to Seton Hall was this week rather I would agree with your metric, but UConn has one loss to an unranked team, Kansas has 4, Houston has 2, Purdue has 3.Creighton isn't in our immediate vicinity in the AP poll so whether they moved up or down is irrelevant to us and has no correlation to the movement in the area of the poll we live in. They didn't just lose. They got slaughtered. Why are people pretending they wouldn't be annoyed if a team not named UConn got beat by 19 and still had first place votes the next week? They lost. Houston beat two ranked teams. It’s not disrespect. It’s common sense.
If that’s what YOU think it means you might just have the brain of a parking meter. How could that mean anything other than a prediction from you that Duke will win the NCAA Tournament?
I'd be surprised if the #1 ranked team after the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament would be any other than the Tournament champion. If that’s what YOU think it means you might just have the brain of a parking meter.
Oh, right. Good point. Creighton beat #1 and then lost, but moved past 3 other teams ahead of them who lost.Creighton got spanked by the same amount to an unranked team and moved up two spots.
