AO to Duke? Ah gosh....

We desperately need a big Man's coach who actually played as a Big Man. I would love to have CV back kicking butt. Miller and George may be good coaches but they don't know the Bigs game.

What's wrong with dook? Its a lateral transfer as opposed to a smaller D1 school. Plus it will benefit his NBA chances. He will also finally bring toughness to dook. I know many think he's UConn soft, but at dook he would be like a beast (which is not saying much).

Sorry Kitamen, but your dreaming.
AO providing toughness to a program is like Snookie providing intelligence to a conversation, even if it is Duke (if we were talking about a debate team, I could see your point)

Mentioned in the article(unnamed source) about Austin Rivers to the NBA, that AO could be speaking to them if he doesn't have to wait out a year. Leaving UCONN to play for Duke would be twisting the knife.

Twisting the knife on who? The people on this board who've disrespected him? Calhoun and coach K are great friends.

Sigh. I would not be happy about that. I understand why he would consider them, especially since they may be losing both plumlee's. I also understand that UConn fans probably hate Duke a lot more than most UConn players nowadays. Still, I'd be really pissed about it.

If Alex ends up at Dook, he's dead to me. :)

I would wish him well wherever he lands. I wish he would stay to redeem himself by having a big senior season after a poor junior one. I hold to my guns that Alex has no one to blame but himself. He has his deficiencies that I pointed out in another thread, but he could have made up for hit with a much higher revving motor, boxing out and working harder on his game.

He had a chance to play for one of the national teams this past summer but chose to stay home. I never understood that. Maybe he had a good reason, but I can't help but wonder if a few weeks playing abroad with some of the best college players could have been good for him.

Here are my two cents: I don't personally wish anything bad on Alex. I'll still remember him as a UConn champion. But if/when he transfers to another school, I'm not going to root for him. It's not about him transferring or which school he chooses. The fact of the matter is that he won't be playing for UConn. I don't root for any school other than UConn to win it all, and so by definition, I won't root for Alex. I hope he has a long, healthy, happy life.....and GO HUSKIES!
