Anyone have a favorite Husky?

DT has to be on the all-pugnacious team. Nobody has ever played the game with more of an edge and attitude than DT. I wouldn't want her mad at me...

For me, the ultimate college player, and my all-time favorite, was Kelly Faris. She was far from the most gifted or most talented player to ever wear a Husky uniform, and that is my point. No player ever worked harder, or so completely dedicated herself to team success. While she clearly did not have the skills to compete at a higher level in basketball, what she revealed about her character traits showed us that she would have been highly successful in any chosen career endeavor outside of the game. I always regretted that, at least to my knowledge, she never chose one. Please update me if I'm wrong!
 
I so like the whole team, my "favorite" depends on what day you
ask the question. Today the answer is DORKA !!!! I want Dorka
to do very, very well this year = and get the draft pick and team of HER choice!

Since she arrived on campus. Nika.

I think party because she came in unheralded, an afterthought if included in the conversation at all and it seemed as if Nika couldn't cared less.

When Nika, comes onto the floor. Four other players attitude,focus shifts. Perhaps if I were a wordsmith I could explain or articulate it. Even on TV you can "feel" whether Nika is on the floor or not.

My prior fav was Gabby.

And always Briana Pulido. My only bookmarked moment in time . The Shot.

I agree with you 100% about Nika (big surprise lol). I can't explain it either but when she steps onto the court she commands everyone's attention- other players, officials(not always to her benefit lol), teammates, fans in the stand & at home. Some players have that kind of electricity/magic/charisma about them. Nika is one of them. :)
 
All time: Diana.

Last year: Evina.

This coming year's team: I love Caroline for what she did for us last year with her nerves of steel. After the NC State game though, where she wasn't even close to 100% from a horrible injury, it's Paige. I thought the video of her after the game with tears in her eyes telling Dorka that the team wanted to win that game for her, was so very revelatory of just what a very special person she is. We are very lucky to have her here.

Caroline, swept me away last year. I've been a Sue Bird since she sunk a half court at half time and the buzzer beater to win the BE ? ND title game. I was on the home court to see that. Caroline, is a Sue Bird type. Sue would screw up-- then very next play she'd drill a 3, or make a steal . Caroline is just a newer, taller version of, in my opinion, one of the 3 greatest players EVER on UCWCBB teams.
The other 11 from last year are pretty special each and everyone. What a fantastic, horrible (health/injuries) year and I've been bless to have watched them. Sue a Syosset, LI NY girl played her HS ball in Middle Village, L.I. NY--my wife's home town.

You're asking for "favorite," not "greatest," so my picks are no slam against Diana, Sue, Breanna, Rebecca, et al. (I grew up rooting for the Yankees of the '50s and '60s, and it's no slam against Yogi, Mickey and Whitey that my all-time favorite was Hank Bauer.) So my picks are the gutsy gals like Gabby, Stef Dolson, Kelly Faris, Mosqueda-Lewis, Bria Hartley, Kiah Stokes.

Great thinking! You picked all the WORKERS. Of your group Kiah Stokes is a STAR that has been overlooked. I have the same feelings for Connecticut's Own--Maria Conlon.
