You boys better be ready..the word on the street is that a ton of RU fans are coming. When you guys played us last year maybe about 5 UCONN fans came so we will definitely put you to shame in that dept. :)

If you only count the last 10 days, we're undefeated!

I'll be there with my usual tailgating crew.

It's Rutgers week and this is college football. Enjoy the smack talking back and forth. This is what college football is all about...
Ya but only pro-UConn and anti-Rutgers smack talk is fun.

Well that fanbase also believes they played their way into the B1G and that the Big East held them back for decades.

So yeah...delusion is nothing new to the RU fanbase.

You're telling me that if our football team was 1-11 each season that we would still get an invite? You can't be serious.
Why didn't they take Fordham or SUNY if they wanted the "NYC market"...hell, both are closer than Rutgers no?

PS. Take note how many RU fans show up this year even during a terrible year like we are having. I am not kidding you but last year I saw maybe 5 UCONN fans at our stadium so you guys definitely do not travel well. Our football fan base is much larger than yours.

No way and I'm not trying to bluff here. I was genuinely looking around for uconn fans last year and did not see any. I don't recall if there was something else going on that weekend but I was very surprised being the proximity.

Got to about 8:20 in this video...look how many RU brought to Arkansas (yes I was there).

I was there with 9 others. There was easily a couple thousand there. Either you are blind, cannot count, or again looking to stir the pot.

No way in hell that there were a few thousand. I was looking for you guys nonstop.
Random pic I just googled...granted, it's at the start of the game so the stadium wasn't filled yet. You barely see any of your fans in the stadium...just watch how many red shirts you'll see this weekend.

video highlights...still no uconn fans:

Speaking of terrible seasons, have you seen your attendance figures before 2006?

Maybe if you had a picture of the section where the UCONN fans are supposed to be...you'd see them.

Yeah they were horrendous.....we probably used to get 25k for most games. But luckily for us this is no longer pre-2006.

It's in the picture....right there in the corner where the cannon smoke is in the air.

@Coach Flood is right. UCONN has never brought fans to our stadium. It was one of the reasons I lost interest in our "rivalry". It isn't a rivalry when opposing fans that are 2-3 hours away fail to fill their section of the stadium in 2012, 2010, 2008, 2006 & 2004. It is also why I have zero interest in scheduling with UCONN in the future, it does nothing for us. I rather go play Temple. It's a glorified home game for our South Jersey fans as we brought 20k to the Linc in 2012.

Have you seen our growth trajectory the past 10 years? Have you seen yours? I looked back to the year you became D1.

http://www.ncaa.org/wps/wcm/connect/public/NCAA/Resources/Stats/Football/Attendance/

YEAR Rutgers UCONN
2003 27,339 37,059
2004 No data No data
2005 33,184 40,000
2006 41,113 38,939
2007 43,663 38,205
2008 42,378 39, 331
2009 49,113 38,229
2010 46,195 38,248
2011 43,761 36,668
2012 49,188 34,672

In 10 years our attendance has risen EIGHTY PERCENT pre-B1G announcement. Your attendance has dropped 6%. This is another reason I want Flood fired as we were well on our way to our best season ever for attendance, then he got exposed for what he is and attendance will probably rival 2010 or 2011.

Clearly I was still out front of the church knocking back my last scotch. That picture isn't a fair representation of the UCONN fans in attendance.

Did it ever come to your mind we have not expanded our stadium nor have we been playing in the upper half of Division 1 football for almost 150 years? Almost 150 years and an imaginary split championship from 1869 is all you have.

Did it ever come to your mind that you need demand to expand a stadium? It's called the supply/demand curve. Google it.

Your attendance has been dropping each year so why would there be a need for stadium expansion?

And to rebuttal your last sentence....no, the championship from 1869 is not all we have. We also have one of these:
