Any word on this Kasongo kid?

I would like it better if his name was Kabongo. He could make a shot and a big ka-bong noise could come over the speakers. Or we could use to old Quick Draw Mcgraw music but show Quick Draw dressed up as El Kabong - his masked avenger alter ego- on the jumbotron.

No, we were recruiting him. Then he decided he really wanted to come here and we stopped recruiting him. But it took him a while before he knew we weren't recruiting him any more.

Apparently this is not a unique phenomenon, as we are still recruiting Sam Cassell, Jr. but neither Louisville nor anyone else is. Nonetheless, he has yet to decide where he will go and needs another week to decide.

The Kasongo recruitment has turned into a circus and based on a number of reports, UConn is no longer recruiting him, even though it sounds like he wants to come here. Hard to tell what's true and what's just misinformation, but whatever the case, it seems clear that KO is happy with Lubin and sees Kasongo as too great a risk may it be due to being over-handled and/or academic concerns.
