Any word on a new HC @ UConn yet?

This has held true in the past. I can’t recall: was it the case with Mora’s hire too?

The five day requirement almost feels like a Boneyard meme at this point. Maybe someone more familiar with state hiring practices can provide a link showing this five day rule, but I had trouble finding anything about it online. I would love to see a source confirming the posting has to be up for x amount of days.

Tom Beck OC at Vanderbilt deserves a look too. Found and developed Pavia, has Vandy rolling offensively. He also won a D2 national championship, I’d look his way for sure. He’d be one of the few active coaches with a national championship!
Great find -- it's Tim BTW; he's 61; there is a Tom Beck who's 85 who had a good coaching resume but can't find if he's Tim's dad - so we have the Mora father/son deal going there

Good idea, but how would that work? It would be a step down for him.
Disagree. Lateral, perhaps; but P4 OC to fairly well-resourced G5 playing 4 P4s a year an upgrade IMO .l. the longer this goes the more I think rolling the dice w/Sammis might not be a bad thing. It's what Hathaway should have done in 11, keep the OC

and is stonewalling until Yale is out of the playoffs
This being 2025, I think "stonewalling" is passe. These hiring/conference move windows are pretty tight. LSU could afford to wait until after Egg Bowl. Don't think UConn has that luxury

Yeah Tim, whoops, fat fingers. Pretty interesting back story reading up on him. Found Pavia along with Coach Kill, got him to NM State and then told him “During a visit to Nevada, Pavia verbally committed to play for the Wolf Pack, and called Beck to let him know. A few minutes later, with Pavia still on the campus, Kill called to tell Pavia that he would be joining the Vanderbilt staff, and that he expected to see Pavia there.” Pretty cool stuff. D2 title is fascinating too. Idk if it would work, but definitely an interesting back story & not what I was expecting to find.

There's another Tim Beck 59 which confused me. Just got fired after 3 years with Coastal Carolina (6-6) going 20-18. He's got a lot of P4 experience Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio State, Texas, NC State

Actually wouldn't hate that.

Curious, don't know much about "followers"(my dog follows me, thats it). At what level does one get considered "serious" 1000, 10,000??
The guy is a hack who just joined X a few months ago so I'll start with "more than 79 and some credible source referenced".

Yeah, I misread the post and deleted mine. But you replied before it took effect I guess.

Why not just hire Jerry Kill?

Look what he did for NMSU. Brought in Pavia, Eli Stowers, MK Young, and Star Thomas. All those guys play in the SEC. Even our own Malachi McLean was found by Kill.

He's older than Mora with health problems. Only stayed 2 years at New Mexico St. and left due to the extreme demands of being a college head coach.

Yes, the Baines version, lol

It was a joke, it’s clearly not the time to joke around, my bad
Lyndon a good guy and a good football coach. I mean, as ahead coach? He can do it functionally, like run a program, get an offense and defense out there .

But you need a recruiter, donor guy, media person...

It is a little different when the coach quits rather than getting fired. You don't fire someone, ideally, until the replacement is already lined up. And most states don't make you post senior executive level positions for five days. That is just a ridiculous requirement.
It's dumb. Can they just pass a law where they don't have to do it?

Yale is very likely to be done for the year in less than 72 hours.

The Oligarch is wrong.
Reno might be on list. He’s not available and isn’t coming.

Sammis would be incredibly underwhelming as HC hire. I hope he stays as OC. My guess, he becomes this decades TJ Weist. Although I think Sammis might get a HC down the road. Just don’t think his first rodeo should be where UConn’s FB existence rides on his learning curve.

Moorhead is about 10 years to late.

I hope the Mullen or Cahill leads have some truth.

Absolutely right. You have to get the hire right and fans have to realize the incoming coach will be at a disadvantage in his first season with personnel. Of course, fans are never patient, but nonetheless........
Ba da bing ba da boom. UConn football fans have a right not to be patient. Agree with what you say here but years of frustration and a small taste of something good and go away is heart breaking.
It is borderline browbeating that we get calls, texts and emails for ticket renewals by today. We don't have a head coach or any idea of what bowl game we may go to. That and what players may sit it out.
A new coach is going to need a lot of big footballs to succeed here with out a conference and a very difficult schedule first year. Back to season tickets someone should realize game times TBA is not a good sales take for many. Again a conference thingy.

Don’t think it will be any of those names
