That's accurate; both remain works in progress.

Well...we just won a championship w/o a high scoring 5 ....soooo it can be successful. Plus defense wins games...wink wink... In Geno and Sarah I trust!

That's true, but in the process it put an incredible amount of responsibility on Strong who had to guard Beers and Betts quite often and rebound like mad. She's going to have other types of new responsibilities next season with Paige gone, so I'd suggest another rebounding interior player is pretty necessary.

The first foul was atrocious. Kitts had both her arms wrapped around Jana's arm. The second was ticky-tack.

That's a good point. But at this point I assume all currently injured players will be back by November, namely Caroline, Morgan and Ayanna. This means they should have a full season to develop.

As for the incredible amount of responsibility, I suspect this is partly responsible for her having an excellent season. Geno sized up this young woman and figured she'd rise to any challenge. Greater responsibilities next season could well provoke even greater achievements from her.

Serah is miles better than Jana but not an all-american herself after several years of development, so let's not get carried away yet with Jana's prospects. Successful bigs are all about hands and feet (think Sarah Strong);, Jana does not seem to be blessed with either set of appendages, but has a great attitude and will only get better

Jana just needs to learn not to foul. Takes patience, practice and understanding. I think she will get there.

Getting Serah would be brilliant IMHO.

it's when jana drops that foul line dribble with maybe a spin that you're like....holy ....this kid could go places...


I'm not sure AA is her ceiling, but "how are we going to deal with jana AND sarah" definitely is within reach
