Any former Uconn athletes on this board?

If so speak up. Been curious if anyone here posts from the mind of a former athlete.
Played one fall season of club rugby. Came back for the spring season but I got pummeled by a football player in the first practice. I limped back to my dorm and never looked back.

I was a standout on the Lack of Physical Coordination team until I broke my leg trying to stand up

Baseball, not at UConn but played UConn and beat them in a double header (one game was a no hitter). I was 0-6. Tom Penders and Bill Holowatty from the basketball team were on that team.

4 yrs hockey at that bantam school. Went to the ECAC D3 finals three times and lost all three. Also we got beat by UConn the 2 or 3 years that we played them - pretty badly.

.-.
Former Uconn football coach Paul Pasqualoni recruited me to play for him in college. When I got there he was gone to Syracuse to coach Mcnabb. Close enough .

It was a while ago- but I used to stand on a chair to do a 6 foot bong hit. Always thought I had Olympic potential.

What happened? Not enough training?

.-.
2 year intramural all star in softball and possibly the only student to get tossed out of an intramural basketball game. I used to get a little too fired up for what should be a mostly non-contact sport.
Two years baseball, two years basketball, two years golf.
Hartford branch.
And trust me, you are not the only one to get tossed. Those intramural games were the best.

I used to tell girls that I was a baseball player to get laid... does that count?
Had some success with this in college. Everywhere I visited friends, I was on the football team. On my home turf, rugby or baseball, sports the school didn't offer... "60% of the time, it works every time."

Baseball pitcher/OF Stamford branch.
Hockey statistician & 3rd string goalie Stamford Branch.
Winning goalie, 6-man intramural soccer championship, Storrs.
Champion, Crandall C 2nd Annual Winner-Take-All Poker Tournament.

@CAHUSKY Shout out to 4th floor of McMahon! I think I was like room 408 or something back in the day but my memory is fuzzy....

I dated a Uconn women's track team member in the 90's and slept with a chic
From the Stamford campus . Plus I once held Scott Burell to 10 pts at a church cookout in 1989. That's equals out to an associates degree at Uconn and a practice squad player for Calhoun.

.-.
Practice player for the women's bball team my senior year in 07/08... If that even counts, haha.

That's pretty cool. Probably the closest to big-time UConn athletics that any of us have gotten.

427 baby! I can see it in your avatar picture. I last lived there in 1992 but dropped in to see the current residents the last time I was on campus for the UCONN v Syracuse game in 2007. They thought we were old.

I was a legend for stinking up the hallways in Russell C. I have no idea how I made it through college. I actually graduated and got kicked out at the same time. Two consecutive semesters of academic probation. It was great.

Unlike many of you rude chauvinistic pigs I am going to say I was "making love" (rather than banging that hell out of although it's true) to the captain of women's volleyball in the late 70's and early 80's in Hollister while she was the roommate of Dennis Long's (baseball) sister Carol………….the girl across the hall Michelle was hanging out with Randy LaVigne so I got to know them pretty well during parties etc etc……….and when I played baseball for another school at UConn vs the Huskies (Colin McGloughin toed the rubber for the Huskies with wild heat) she was then dating the Italian soccer playing dude (Gaetano or something?) but I slipped in a friendly "take one (or 2 lol) for the Gipper" that evening for memories sake……….LOL……good ole days!!;)

You can tell someone is lying when they include way too many details in their story. And bold name dropping too. Def didn't happen.

Oh yeah it did……... I was only trying to utilize the names of "athletes" to cover the title thread…….and there's more to this story which would make it even more entertaining but way too afraid of who's on here!! LOL;)

What is this referring to?

Nothing in particular. Just wanted to bust ma's balls. Although it's known "thing" that when people include far too many details in a story, they are often lying/embellishing (usually a spoken thing however). You can get a feel that oh, this is BS.

Dunno it's scientifically proven, but investigative types use this 'technique'.
