I thought the tour was laid out poorly. No mountain stages early. Tadej won the tour early on the Time Trial in Stage 5. Jonas actually had a really good time trial but Tadej gained over a minute. Tadej also gained time with bonus seconds. I don't understand the point of having bonus time when the entire race is based on your overall time. Why give a rider 6 bonus seconds when they run together the entire stage and then one guy jumps at the finish line. Never made sense to me. Let them finish in real time.

Peacock is also infuriating. I watch the replays but every time I fast forward I have to sit through 60-90 seconds of commercials.

Loved seeing Waut Van Aert win the final stage on the Champs. I don't like the change with the added loops around the Cote de la Butte Montmarte. The narrow climb with Tadej leading the charge created breaks within the Peloton which never happens on the final stage. Maybe the riders now know what to expect if they do it again next year but I think it's just too narrow a climb for what is usually a sprint stage. I did not expect to see anyone drop Tadej on the final climb but WVA was ready.

Jonas was awful in the first time trial. It was the mountain time trial (after Tadej already scorched him the day before in a mountain-top finish) that Jonas was good but lost yet another minute. Then the "hope Tadej forgets to eat" strategy and "hope Tadej gets bored and does something foolish" strategies failed to work.

The last stage created tons of buzz. Unless there is a crash we will never see another boring sprint stage to finish the Tour again.

There is no gradual increase. After the year is up it goes $11 per month.

They usually do a deal around Black Friday IIRC

I know it’s annoying. But we know UConn will have a few games next year plus some of the Big East tourney. I believe the deal is for new users so just use a different email address.

25 bucks for the year. I believe you can cancel it immediately and keep the full duration package if you don’t want to remember to cancel in 12 months time.

Called and they said it's no longer on the air but while I was holding offered to reduce my bill by $33 a month for 12 months. Also added Peacock. I never said a word about the cost of the monthly package.

I appreciate the OP thought but I'm not signing up for this to each their own. Maybe I'll be on the fence about this. To me it's either on TV or it's not, I can deal with following games on game cast or listening on the radio.

I'm not paying for something for a year which I would only use to watch UConn games. Besides I have cable, and the internet I have Netflix and I am a subscriber to Storrs Central. I'm not letting the networks own me, technology owns us enough as it is.

Just to let you know, right now if you try to cancel they will offer to renew you for $19.99. And AMEX has $7.99 off Peacock if you activate the deal and pay using the card. That's 12 bucks for the year. Less than one good beer at a game in person.
