UMass to Play UGA in Football and Men's Basketball

No one questioned whether it happened. You inferred that the basketball games were leveraged for football games. E.g. UMass/UConn is able to entice a football power to play a football game by scheduling a H/H in basketball with them as well. However, UMass was paid $1.5mm to play UGA in football. Rutgers is paying UMass $1.3mm for their game. Auburn is paying UMass $1.9mm for their game. And neither Rutgers or Auburn has basketball games scheduled with UMass. It appears UMass will play anyone in football for $1.3mm to $1.9mm. Any basketball games added appear to be made due to scheduling conveniences and had no impact to football.

Sometimes college administrators aren’t playing a zero sum Game of Thrones-style game. Sometimes they just like when they can kill two birds with one stone when making football and basketball schedules.

There should be no doubt UCONN - University of Connecticut - is a Brand in College Sports. A attraction supported by Nike & IMG - Top industry influencers (can’t believe I’m using that term).

You leverage whatever you can.

UConn > UMass. It just is. > Liberty & NM State.

We can use Basketball Brand ... both MBB & WBB. That gets us in the door. A game at P5 doesn’t need hoop as a good incentive; it might come with the transactional nature of how we do things.

Why the anger...IMG is just no measure at all...they have everybody.

Nike apparel...that's a bettr measure of a fan base...how much apparel is available.

Nike doesn't put out much apparel for fan bases who do not purchase.
