If this kid can even become an average shooter, he is a Top 25 player.
Fruscio is coach of Albany Academy.

Jimmy Hart director of City Rocks said the following:
He was a point guard for us since age 9, and then he grew all of a sudden so he’s played a lot of point in his career.

“He can really find shooters and has great court vision for a guy who’s pushing it at that pace. Some guys who jump will do a great dunk when they’re wide open, this guy dunks violently on people. I mean, he’s aggressive. He attacks the rim with no fear. Great instincts as a defender and his shot is getting better.”

Hart believes Hurley will coach him up even more.

“Well, Danny gets the most out of his guys,” Hart said. “He’s a tough guy and I think that’s why he’s choosing Danny. He’s trying to get with a head coach that he feels is going to push him real hard and get the most out of him and not leave any stone unturned. He’s opting for tough coaching. And his high school coach is a tough coach, too.”

I wanted this one bad for two reasons:

First - it was clear that this was Dan Hurley's number one want for 2019-2020, and he beat out a hometown favorite that has watched Andre for over TWO years. I was at the KC Hardwood Classic two summers ago and the nose picker and g-mac were there watching Andre with no other coaches.

Second - I love @BFieldHusky and the info he provides, and I wanted this for him to shut up those Syracuse fans that constantly talk snow.

This is a great get for the program. We are headed back to where we belong.

Here's a little something for you Cuse fans with butt hurt.

Damn. Double Damn. I've been waiting for a UConn player to bring those in your face jams since Jeff Adrien. Didn't know he was a PG early. That explains his obvious vision and passing ability.

This makes me feel a lot more comfortable about this year's class, should be solid at a minimum

Made more 3s than his 17u mixtape!

He was a smaller PG then, no? Maybe still hasn't grown into his body yet in terms of shooting. Nobody's mentioned that yet, so it might be BS

HEY AZORANGE
What did you say you would do if AJ wound up picking UConn????????????????????
I've been looking at the Syracuse Blog but you remain silent
Typical Cuse fan - spew crap and nothing behind it

WELCOME TO THE GOOD GUYS AJ

Cuse board: "For Andre's sake, let's hope Hurley can coach offense by then"

Reality:
Last 3 years Hurley coached teams have an average offense efficiency rank of 70.
Last 3 years Boeheim coached teams have an average offense efficiency rank of 75.
Thats @pauliepeppas for ya! Syracuse education!

"Husky fans will find this acquisition particularly satisfying, as Jackson had long been considered a strong Syracuse lean, but in typical Jim Boeheim fashion, the Syracuse coach let this one slip through his snot-covered fingers. This is a particularly big setback for the Orange, as the coaching staff spent a tremendous amount of time and effort recruiting Jackson, whose length and athleticism made him an ideal option for the Bad Defense."

My guy you could at least link me

“Syracuse, in a way they’re kind of the same as Iowa in the way that they want me to play.,” Jackson said. “They want to increase their pace of play to get me downhill off ball screens, try to get me to play at the bottom of the zone. My length would be good in the zone and all that kind of stuff, and I definitely agree with a lot of stuff that they say. And they’re pretty good.

Hmm I may add that to plucky and gritty.

Here's a 'cuse take on the decision

UConn pitched an uptempo offense - which Jackson prefers - and man-to-man defense. The Huskies, too, touted their new/old allegiance with the Big East Conference to Jackson, who is close with his mom and his younger brother and wanted to play someplace where they could watch his games. Albany sits midway between Storrs and Syracuse. And the Big East offers closer road games. Providence, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Villanova and Georgetown are within driving distance. The Big East holds its conference tournament at Madison Square Garden.

Pour all of those ingredients in a blender and Connecticut emerged as the winner for Jackson’s services.

I hope that handle survived his growth spurt, because he had a real good one when he was 12, and we could definitely use a wing that can drive into traffic and lay it off.

Door #1 - Mission Accomplish.

I agree, the underrated part of Dre’s game is his passing ability.

Will the Cuse posse in NJ and NY learn a lesson about who to go to war against and bad mouth?

They chose the low road and that’s not our normal style but we can beat them like a drum in that game too.

Let’s go get a Big behind Door #2.
