Yes the wooden basketball floor was put on top of the dirt fieldhouse floor. During the games when the crowd got into it you could see a dust cloud rising! Others here I’m sure remember.

i never saw a varsity game there, but played there as a sophomore for Fitch. Don't think it was a real game probably a scrimmage. But I do remember the dirt floor.
