Andre Jackson 3pt Specialist

Now if he can only figure out how to go all the way to the rim instead of pulling up for floaters or passing out.
Was gonna say, I feel infinitely more confident when the ball leaves his hand from beyond the 3 PT line than when he throws one of those line drive “floaters” at the basket. He’ll put it all together though. Just a bit tentative finishing right now.

Are Sanogo, Cole, and Martin all batman? I don't get it. We have an obvious top 3 players.

If teams have to guard him behind the line it’s over. I would still play off of him and bet this isn’t sustainable. He reminds me of Shawn Marion in more ways than one.

That was always my comparison.

A turning point for him was the blue-white game. He was playing with essentially the backups and he was all over the place, single handedly won the backups the game.

If he can learn how to really attack the basket… lottery pick.

He's added the shot people will have to respect from 3, now he just needs to shoot the ball when he drives. Not the order I expected those traits to develop but I'll take it

Andre is a savvy player. He knows the right time to take 3pt shots, when the defense backs off him. Not a huge volume but efficient and opportunistic. That, and it's obvious he's really worked on his shot to make it respectable.

Who would of thought I trust him more to make a 3 than I do him attacking the basket when he’s looking to score. Kudos to him on the shot but I feel like he’s overthinking his finishes when he’s going to the hoop. Just be explosive and go up and challenge people with your athleticism. Only 1 bad turnover for him tonight too!! Getting there

Aside from his improved shot... where would this team be without his ball handling and distribution?

Cole is already forced to play 38 mins a night because we don't have a reliable backup PG.

Imagine how much worse things would be without Andre.

Take a look at some of the early games this year, and compare AJ's game to what he's done lately. He is literally improving with EVERY SINGLE GAME. At this point I would consider him to be our second best rebounder, second best ball handler, second best defender, and third best scorer (and that's only because he defers to everyone else).

If he keeps this up, I predict 2nd Team All American next (junior) year, at which time we'll fondly wish him goodbye as he enters the draft. Just so impressed with his remarkably quick improvement this season!
