How do you not call a timeout when the other team is in the midst of a 20-2 run?

What a response by ND. Can't see Duke digging out of an 18 point hole.

She'd already burned a timeout early in 3Q when the Duke player got trapped in the corner. Didn't want to burn another one, I guess.

Duke has fought back to within 12. Pretty much trading buckets in the 4th quarter so far, entertaining game.

No point in saving timeouts for a game that's over.

Also, coaches need to tell players not to call timeouts for tie ups anymore. You save one possession, and screw your team for the rest of the game.

Thanks for the work here. Makes scheduling the TV time a lot easier for the indolent among us.
Yes, thanks Plebe. I keep referring back to this.

As a card carrying ND hater, it's really nice for me to see the Irish stretch out their lead here. All of us should be pulling for them to go undefeated (and convincingly) until meeting the Huskies in the NC game. Beating them is so much more satisfying when they have their hopes sky high!

Notre Dame looks good. Still the class of the ACC until proven otherwise.

Will Notre Dame beat Baylor, assuming both get to the national semifinal?

The good news for UConn is they'd only have to beat one of them.

Chattanooga also going Dancing. Mercer had a potential game winning 3 pointer bounce around and roll off the rim at the buzzer. Heartbreaker!

I was just going to say this. Chattanooga had a one-point lead and the ball out of bounds with about 14 seconds to play. Mercer stole the inbound pass but then missed a contested layup and had to foul. Joyner made 1 of 2 free throws and then a buzzer-beating 3-pointer bounced precariously around the rim before falling out. Those hurt just to watch.

No idea...I think Baylor is better, with a real size advantage down low, but I'll be pulling for ND should that scenario play out. True, it's fun to beat Kim, but, c'mon, giving Muffett another beatdown is finger-lickin' good!

Well that certainly stunk.

Despite that.... I still love my team

Now it's time for pizza to take away my sorrow.

South Carolina wiping the floor w/ Mississippi St. so far--14-5 w/ 4:41 in the 1st quarter. MSU coach is not happy!

Tightened up, now 14-13 at the end of 1 quarter. SC hasn't scored for quite a while.

Did MSU just make that comeback in the 1st quarter with both Vivians and William on the bench?

So according to Charlie Creme, this SEC game and the Pac-12 game will combine to determine the final #1 seed:
  • If SC beats MSU, SC is the final #1 seed.
  • If MSU beats SC and Oregon State beats Stanford, OSU is the #1 seed in Stockton.
  • If MSU beats SC and Stanford beats Oregon State, MSU sneaks into that last #1 spot.

Not that I know about...but what really stinks is that this is all politics over that stupid bathroom bill North Carolina passed and then repealed!

It hasn't been repealed.

Is our reward a trip to Stockton after Sioux Falls last season? I don't know if the NCAA pays attention to what they did the previous season, but if the Gamecocks get sent to the hinterlands again and Kentucky potentially gets their first four games at home, that stinks.

I wasn't watching real close. I know the coach was fired up and he yanked Vivians when it was 14-5. Not sure when she went back in. Score was 29-26 SC at the half.

Baylor is rolling against K State, up 20 at the end of the 3Q.--oops, up 17, just nailed a 3

The reasons why SC was sent to Sioux Falls last season were a bit convoluted and unusual.

But when you're the last of the #1 seeds—which SC would be this year—then you get whatever's left over after all the other regional sites have been assigned.

Wow. Miss St with a 6-0 run to take a 5-point lead late in 3Q.

Their defense has really bogged down SC in the past few minutes.

Yes, what if Miss State wins? Does that knock SC out of a #1 seed? Wouldn't want to be the 4th #1 seed with SC in my bracket....Coates's injury could really hurt them....

According to Creme, it would. But he says that if SC and Oregon St both lose, then Miss St would be the 4th #1 seed, which means SC would have to go elsewhere.

Announcers are gushing about Aja Wilson to the point it's annoying.

Well, she is having a great game and she singlehandledly put them back into the lead with that run.
