they're pretty tight. Thought that would help with her recruitment, but unfortunately it did not.
I thought she was MY girl. I want to buy stock in Breanna Stewart. :)

If she wants to continue LOLing, she should rethink that coastal commit and mush on up to Huskyland.
agreed. the talent is obviously there. but i have a feeling Sylvia will give her absolute free reign to play however she wants, whereas Geno would not do that. if she wants a free-flowing offense that lacks structure and is built on fast breaks and work in the open court, she'd do well at UNC, and then at Phoenix in the WNBA. UCONN still loves to run, but the structure is much more prevalent...

Yes, she can and will excel at what she is good at, yet, maybe, she could dominate if she improved that which she as yet to form(structure and team play)...IOW, Hatch vs Geno, in some ways. It will be intersesting to watch.

I watched her play and there is nothing unstructured about her. She is exceptionally gifted physically, played very hard on defense and has mad offensive skills. She seems very driven to succeed and her competitive nature will probably rub off on her teammates. I suspect that this class will be one of the hardest working we've seen. She seems to have a drive to win and won't be happy with anything else.

She is a Geno type of player or he would not have been recruiting her so hard.

Sounds like a finished product...if you are correct

yet, for me, it is difficult to imagine a HS junior who is not at least somewhat unstructured by Geno standards.

As for her class, time will tell...can't figure out how you know this already.

I used the words "seems" and "suspect." That does not mean that I "know" anything. There is a big difference. But I think that we all agree that if Geno is recruiting a player that he sees something very special about that player.

I saw the same in Reimer, who I believe Geno pursued. She is going to be special! Notre Dame is going to have a very strong core with Lloyd, Mabrey, Reimer and Allen. From what I've seen they are going to be a pretty spectacular group.

If Duke can land Davis, and possibly Harper, watch out for them. That would make the ACC and the Big East the two premier conferences.

From the list that Cam provided on our board, Duke isnt in the mix for Harper. We need wings and posts. If hope we can land Cooper.... along with at least one of Davis, Greenwell, Umeri, Tucker, Williams Group.

ahhh...didn't know that she has ruled out Duke. Can you provide Harper's list of schools? I haven't seen one yet.

Davis and Greenwell would be a nice haul. Davis is very good off the dribble and Greenwell seemed to have a solid outside shot and passing ability. They would complement each other well.

I have no idea about Harper...... I really only pay attention to players if 1) they are listed on the Duke target list.. or have Duke listed among their schools of interest and 2) if they have listed or have been targeted by other ACC schools.

I cant imagine her going to a school that has signed a top flight PG in the 2012 class..... but who really knows

I am just curious what was said on the Duke board by Cam that indicated that there is no interest in one way or the other.

I have to agree about that. From what I see this young lady is ready to step in and be THE point guard from day one. I don't see her wanting to ride the pine behind anyone else.

Not all freshman start right away at top programs. UCONN fans know this well.

Well Cam has threads for Duke Recruiting Class of (fill in the year). He lists our targets... who visits... who is interested.. and keeps us up to date. The Class of 2013 thread was started in 2009.. Its very informative for us Duke fans.. Every so often... he provides an updated list of targets... and also lists when a target commits to elsewhere. Havent seen Harper listed in any of this years updates... so I just assumed there wasnt an interest from Harper.

Back to the Diamond post thread origin: okay "Montana dude ranch", I get that, but I could soak up how this lady says what she says all day. Whether that is just how kids sound now or pure Diamond-speak, I dig it. (Is "dig" just an archaic expression that only codgers get? Who knows?)

I agree ericsandiego 100%...........I too think DD will get free reign at UNC. And it will serve the team well . Until they get in a tight NCAA Tournament game and the other teams defense clamps down on UNC and outrebounds them. You can't run without the ball.
